Don’t Waste Your Money

I bought 2 charge 2 fitbits. One for myself, one for my daughter. Both of them stopped working completely within a month of each other. We had owned them for a year and a half, so we’re outside the warranty window. I wore my daily, but my daughters was rarely used and they both stopped working with the same problem. It’s a design/functional problem with Fitbit. Customer service wouldn’t do anything for me since it was beyond a year. So don’t waste your money if you would expect it to last for more than a year.

It Works

I am learning about the many features of the product. It really is quite impressive although I'm not sure how I sometimes seem to get a lot of steps sometimes. One really has to explore the on-line site that links to the equipment to really discover all the features and what they mean. Went to the store and they worked with me to order what I needed. Felt the process went well. As a senior citizen, I was surprised below that above 37 is the end of the list!

Dies After 2 Years Like Clockwork

They seem to die after two years like clockwork. Heart rate monitor stopped and I contacted their support line which was not helpful and their recommendation is always to but a new one. If you go further up the chain they tell you to still buy a new one but give you a small 25% discount. We had two and both died shortly after two years. Poor quality. Would strongly recommend buying a competitors brand.

Fitbit Charge 2

The Fitbit Charge 2 was a gift for Mother's day from my son, May 2017. The wrist band came off and I can't get it to stay connected. This happened one year and one month after I received it. I contacted fitbit and they said sorry it is out of warranty. I believe it is a design defect but they said all I can do is buy another wrist band. Really? I don't plan on buying anything from them, poor craftsmanship plain and simple.

Love the Fitbit Charge 2, but wish it was water proof!
