I’ve always used the soft Bauer skate guards. Wipe blades dry with the outside of the cloth guard, then cover the blade.

Run Small?

We got these skate guards to go with the size 10 Bauer hockey skates we bought my daughter. It says they fit skate sizes 10-13, but I feel like they barely fit my daughter's size 10 skates. I'm not sure how much the blade size changes between the sizes listed, but if the blades do get longer when going up a size, I don't see them fitting any of the bigger sizes very well. For a size 10 skate they work well though!

Ice Hockey Skate Guard

Bought for my five year old. These were a perfect fit over the blade. The blue tab on the back helps pull over the blade, making it easier to manipulate without cutting yourself.

Bauer Quality

Good product overall if you are just looking for a covering for your skate blade. But base isn’t reinforced so I don’t think it would hold up for long if you wanted to walk while wearing your ice skates.

Sizing Is Weird

Bought a medium for my son who wears a youth 4 and the it’s a struggle to stretch these to get them on the blades. Also dangerous. I’d size up because clearly we needed a large. Waste of money in the end.
