I thought, why not use a legging as my baselayer and then if I need to strip off, I am not hiking through bramble in my woolies? I was worried as there is no drawstring at the waist, I wondered if the weight of my phone in the side pocket would pull the pants down over time. The good news is that the pants stay up very well. Took these on a trip around the Colorado four pass loop. As is typical, we got caught in an afternoon storm at 10, 000 feet and suited up. Pants kept us dry from the rain and wete sufficiently breathable for 2 hours of rainy hiking. They are definitely pants to put on BEFORE it rains because the ankle zips do n't accommodate footwear too well. But I knew that going in. I was worried that the waist would be too tight on me as I am not used to wearing high- waisted pants and I do not have a curvy figure. Going by the size guide, I ordered size 40, but the hips and legs were much too baggy, although the waist was okay but still loose. I took a chance and exchanged the 40 for a 38. When I first tried them on I found the hips and legs fit perfectly. But the waist, as feared, seemed too snug. I kept the pants for a couple of weeks and every few days I would try them on and wear for short periods indoors. After a while, the waist started to loosen just enough to feel comfortable. I have worn them a few times now and the fit just keeps getting better! I am so happy because I really wanted to like these pants and now I have a pair that fit beautifully. I will use them for hiking year round and in the winter as a good pair of outdoor pants in Alaska.

My daughter got me a pair of these pants for Christmas last year. When I tried them on I instantly fell in love with how they felt. They were a little big in the waste and slightly long. However, what I really love about these pants are the ankle straps and the ability to cinch them around your boots. I have a hard time finding pants long enough for my 33 '' inseam, but these pants are perfect! I 'm 5' 8 '', 140 pounds, with a slim build and the medium fits perfectly. This set is overall one of the best winter base layer fits I ’ ve had the chance to try out in the elements( as of yet). The fleecy layer inside isn ’ t too thick, so it will keep you decently warm while not feeling overly constricting( it won ’ t ruin or take away from your outfit either). If I was to give constructive feedback on anything, it would be that they are a little short in length( mind you, I ’ m 5 ’ 11 ”). So, I ’ m really not picky about that kind of thing( for leggings in particular). Especially as they do have a bit of stretch. Kids go to a camp in CO where it rains a fair amount so rain pants are on the required packing list. This was the pair they had this year and they loved them. They were great because they were light weight and easy to pack. In terms of water protection they were as good as any of the previous ones they have used. I liked them as they appear to be built well and show no signs of wear after being used for a month long camp.

After being pleased with my MH shell, I decided to try these bibs and so glad I did. So far they 've been worn skiing and snowmobiling in various conditions, from 28 degrees and snowing 2 '' an hour, pouring rain, and cold dry single digit weather. The waterproofing is superior, and blocks the wind well enough. The fabric is comfortable and does n't feel constricting. I 'm 5' 2 '', about 130 lbs, with pretty beefy legs and butt. The medium short is definitely roomy, which is what I wanted to allow for layering and freedom of movement. I LOVE that there are options for length. This should be standard in the industry! The leg pockets fit a phone perfectly and have stayed waterproof. The chest pockets are more for sunglasses, chapstick etc, and not a phone, but you should n't have your phone right next to your beacon anyways. The zipper works well enough for peeing. It's a pretty easy process. Overall, this bib is just a great no- nonsense product that does exactly what you need it to do: Keep you dry and comfortable.

I am 5'10 and based on the size guide I fit a small long. However, the main issue I had was that the torso was too short, even with the straps at maximum length. I do not believe these would fit someone taller than me unless they have a relatively short torso. The quality seemed great, but these bibs would be better if there was a front zipper or if the straps could be unhooked. At its current design, you have to lift the straps over your head which is almost impossible if you also have on a helmet. If the torso length could be adjusted along with the strap issue, this would be a five star product.

These trousers are amazing. When the weather gets colder, the extra warmth these provide over the regular Keb trousers don ’ t go unnoticed! I also think the fit is greatly improved over the older Keb trousers but can ’ t speak to the new ‘ improved fit ’ ones. As for the higher waist, unlike the other review, I love this. I bought this last week and it was made in Vietnam. The information was printed on the tights, which I think it is better than a physical label. I am 58kg/ 161 cm. The tights( size S) are very tight on my legs but there is still much room at the butt, so when I walk I could feel the butt area a little bit strange. Regarding comfort, Abisko Trekking Tights Pro are less comfortable as the Abisko trail tights I own, but warmer. Hand washed and air dried several times and holding up well. I like the knee and seat reinforcements, but a same coloured option would be good- as per another reviewer. Warm enough for wild Welsh winters. The fabric dries quickly and is hardwearing with big dogs and scrambling over rocks. The ankle hole seems tight, I 'd say these are a `` sit down and ease over the heel '' legging rather than put on standing up and pull all the way on. A suggestion- Would Fjallraven consider printing the garment information inside the fabric instead of having itchy fabric labels? I have to carefully cut out the labels with a sharp knife, without damaging the seam, which I 'm sure will end in disaster one day.

I bought these trousers more than 2 years ago. Got pregnant in the middle and only did I start wearing them since a year go. I am so impressed by how well they perform. I 've worn them in hikes, climbing, just for regular day wearing and at home. They fit me really good, so it's easy to wear them for different occasions and styles. The buckwheat color is beautiful and a nice change from typical black. They have a stretch waistband and stretch panels on the sides that helped as I was returning back from portpartum abdomen size. The knee precut space is roomie enough for hiking, but for climbing they felt a little tight, so I would n't recommend. I absolutely love the fabric for southern Spain weather, in summer they feel breathable and light, I just rolled the bottom of the legs, and in spring and autumn they feel perfect. In winter they also felt ok on milder weather days. They have a somewhat waterpellent treatment that also serves as dirt repellent that make them ideal if you work in dirty environments, the stain dries and you can brush it off. The pockets are so convenient I love using them at home to carry my phone and other essentials around comfortably. An overall great pair of trousers. Have n't tried the improved fit, but if this pair ever dies I will be repurchasing.

I have 2 older style fit trousers( I still love them and they are holding up well) but I love the new improvements. The new style actually flatters ones bum. The older styles did n't really do much for the rear view, but Fjall is correct( improved fit) is an understatement. Great quality, and now an even better fit. The fit guide is spot on. Do n't skip the measurement part( and don; t be afraid when you are a bigger size than you are used to, the fit guide is accurate).

A couple months ago I opened up a retail store, and I started wearing my Stinas. I LOVE them so much. First, they look fantastic. I have comments about how sharp I look when I wear them. First let me say that I 'm not a person who wears tights- never have been- but these have changed my mind. I was on the fence about ordering for the longest time and I 'm so glad I finally did. They are thick enough that they feel more like pants to me and oh, so comfortable. The waistband is high, but not too high and the overall fit is just perfect. The leg pockets are deep and secure and the reflective piping at the ankles is a really nice touch. I had thought I might need to wear long underwear with them to be warm enough, but the wind proof panels are a life saver and they are plenty warm if you keep moving.(* An added bonus is that dog hair does not stick to them!) I use these pants when hiking and camping in cold/damp weather. The fleece liner feels so comfy against the legs, and the outer shell is durable. These pants are extremely flattering, but I am not a curvy girl... I 'm more straight- shaped. I could see why a curvy figure would have some issues with the waistband. I am in the outdoors all the time for work, and these are a go- to pair for me in the colder and shoulder months. I will be buying more.
