I ’ ve been using this jacket for the past 8 months and it ’s been extremely reliable in a variety of different conditions. Walking in sub zero temps, I found I was constantly undoing or taking off layers when using an insulated jacket, becoming sweaty and uncomfortable, but winter walking in the Skogsko I found it to be breathable and pleasant keeping me at a constant temperature. Once you stop, throwing on an insulated layer or hard shell will take care of the cooling down issue. Because of the fit( medium) and it ’s stylish cut, you get only compliments when out and about, but the quality if it ’s manufacture and rock solid construction means it ’s practically bulletproof and can be used in all sorts of work/outdoor scenarios. I ’ ve been using it more and more on the farm and for forestry work, as you can brush up and rub against tough bark or metal fencing or briars without so much as a scratch on the material, especially if it ’s been waxed a couple of times, and once it ’s waxed it becomes very tough and durable with a patina ’ d look which adds to its appeal. Worn under my Hoggs waterproof, this jacket becomes a completely wind proof, waterproof system- it can be blowing 60 mph and you just will not feel a thing- absolutely no warmth escaping from anywhere. This jacket has ended all desire to purchase anything else. Great quality and build. It ’s kept me warm and dry on chilly pow days and the vents keep me cool on the sunnier days. The oversized hood goes over my helmet and keeps me very cozy. Easily the best jacket I ’ ve invested in. It is a little big but that does allow me to layer comfortably while still maintaining mobility. I ’ d prefer this over a tighter fit and baggy is steezier anyway. I had second thoughts at first about the jacket because I was concerend about the slightly snug fit. I 'm about 185lbs and 6 ft tall with the medium size being snug but not uncomfortable at all. I just wondered about wearing layers witht he jacket. The arm length is perfect for me and the large size would be too long in the arms. I am 5' 6 '' and a large was a good fit for me, especially for arm length. I am a little concerned about longevity because of how light weight it is, but time will tell on that. Thought I just needed a vest as part of my running wardrobe, but little did I know this was a must have I never knew about. Now in cooler weather I ’ m wearing this for pretty well any temperature below 50F. Seems shocking that you could do 6- 20 mile runs at near 50 degrees with what seems like a hot article of clothing but somehow it ’s fantastic at regulating heat. And while it's maybe just a little too heavy and bulky for my ultralight goals, I bought it because I liked it so much in general( tried in on in a store, bought it on Mossejaw). And now I wear it anytime the weather's a little chilly. It's warm, a great fit-- not too tight, not too baggy-- and the material just feels great. I 've also had it out in light rain for half an hour or so, and nothing soaked in. So it really is at least a little water repellent. The 3- in- 1 is nice and sized well at XL for a guy who can fit into a L but finds that too tight in the shoulders( after all, you have to keep your arms forward with poles). Great wind protection and comfortable feel, which means room for layering up on cold ski days(< 10 dF). I have not separated the liner yet, so do not have any input on the pieces individually. Very comfortable, seems like it would hold up well in colder weather. Love the multiple pockets. Just be warned it does run very large. I usually wear 3XL being broad up top but took a 2XL and still have room. Enough for layering. Great jacket if you can get it on sale as I did.

This is easily one of the best light weight puffy for moderate activity. It handles cold weather exceptionally well for how light it is. The stretch baffling makes movement incredibly natural. Everything about the jacket is rugged and high quality. The stitching and was perfect and the large tooth YKK zippers were smooth with no snags. Fit is good but on the slimmer side( in a good way). You can layer a sweatshirt and puff vest but that ’s about it. If you need more, size up. Unfortunately I had to return the jacket due to the antler color being very pink. No other colors were available in my size so I had to go with the thermograph jacket, which is also very good.

This jacket looks great on the mountain and off. Kept dry when out for several hours in rain, but wetted out halfway through a deep powder day. Hood works well with a helmet, but hood could be a bit bigger. The hand- warmer inner cuffs are good, but can wick up water during heavy rain. Pockets are good placement and size and insulated phone pocket is a definite plus! I love that various features in the jacket( such as the `` Glove Link '' are in a contrasting colour and labelled so that you do n't have to guess their uses. Note that the jacket is a lined shell, meaning that it provides more warmth than some other shells.

Love this jacket. I was worried about the reports that it's `` short '' I 'm 5' 9 '' with a longer torso and short legs( 30- 32 inseam) and the jacket came to just below my belt line. It's definitely a jacket for car camping, walks around town, etc. This IS N'T a summit series jacket and is defiantly not built as a belay jacket which I think some get confused. For me, after hitting the slopes and a bit sweaty, I pull this out of my pack, fluff it up( it folds into its own pocket and packs very small) and put it on going in and out of the lodge before the sweat get cold and drops my body temp.
