I ended up going with my normal size of XS after trying the XS and S. I 'm 5' 1 '' and 109 lbs for reference. The size small fit more oversized but the arm sleeve were slightly too long. If you 're between sizes, I would size up. My main concern was how cropped it might be and both jackets ended up hitting my waist at about the same spot so I went with the smaller size for the better arm and shoulder fit.

I 'm 5' 7 '' 130 lbs and ordered a small, was n't sure how it would fit since I would normally go for a medium in jackets, but saw this was loose fit and have heard Carhartt run large. The sleeves of the small were good but I was absolutely drowning in the rest of it so got an extra small, and it was a much better fit! When I tried it on with a sweatshirt underneath, the sleeves of the extra small were a touch tight when bending my elbows, but I think it will break in just fine. Great jacket, hope this can help folks with sizing. Did n't have any trouble with the zipper the way other people have described, it's a big metal double zipper and takes a little effort but nothing crazy.

The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.

As I was out shoveling, I discovered the designer winter coat I bought from a big department store was NOT waterproof. Unfortunately, I weigh 274, so finding a coat is n't easy. After researching, I decided to try this one even though it is over$ 300. It fits great( it is n't loose, but it is comfortable and I can sit with it zipped)! It also is not puffy, so there is no added bulk. The sleeves are nice in that they are not too short and I can tighten them at the wrist with the Velcro. I also love the chest pocket-- I put my phone in there and can listen to a podcast as I walk my dog. Well worth the money!

Wonderful coat! Am 5' 2 '' and under 115 lbs, chose XS and am very pleased. In 20- degree weather I wore a thin long sleeve cotton tshirt and lightweight synthetic sweater- and was plenty warm! The hood is ample with a cozy furry lining, there are nice pockets, the fit is generous and it can either be worn straight, fashionable these days, or cinched at the waist for a more contoured look. I bought the cream color as a change from black and it's a rich neutral shade. Overall it's an excellent jacket, recommend.

I absolutely love this jacket! It ’s true to size and fits appropriately snug but not tight. It has two zippers along the teeth, which is super helpful if you ’ re crouching down or generally stretching the jacket in some fashion,( you can move that bottom zipper up to open the jacket a bit, so it ’s not as taut at the bottom). The hood and fur are removable but I haven ’ t taken either off. The jacket is quite warm and comfy, even without the heat on! I highly recommend. It ’s fashionable yet way more beneficial than your average jacket. Plus, you can turn the light off if you don ’ t want people to know you ’ ve got the heat on. I love it so much, I ’ m considering buying it in green too!

I am a small or medium in all my other coats, jackets and tops. This parka in olive is exactly like the pictures in my opinion. It is heavy, good quality and beautiful. I ordered a size medium based upon the size chart and it is VERY fitted in the hips. I am an athletic build- 150lbs with lots of muscle, however I have wider hips than my waist( hourglass) for sure and this REALLY hugs my hips. Fits well in the upper body. Quite possibly large would have worked better, especially since the battery sits on the hips( tightest portion for me). The jacket is beautiful and works well, however the sizing seems to run at least 1- 1. 5 sizes smaller than average. Can not wear bulky layers with this size for sure. Would love at least an exchange option for size issues on open box items.

My wife would have kept the jacket, but she felt that the sleeves were to tight compared to her North Face jacket that it was going to replace. I needed a fully waterproof jacket that was lightweight and gave lots of coverage for long dog walks. This is a good one which goes to mid thigh on me( 5' 2 '') with the rounded swoop in the back that looks a bit stylish. The hood is adjustable so it stays put and the collar gives lots of coverage as do the longer sleeves which can cover my hands or adjust with velcro at the wrist and the zippers are waterproof. This jacket is so comfortable and warm. I bought it for skiing and I love it. The material is soft. I like how it zips up high to keep my neck warm while still leaving room to wear a neck gaiter. I also love the inside sleeves that fit over my thumbs. They fit great under my mittens and provided extra warmth. I found my usual size a bit small, but the next size up fit perfectly. I ’ m not sure if it ’s completely waterproof, but it ’s at least water resistant. If you want a warm, nice looking, comfortable ski jacket, I would highly recommend it!
