I really like that the tongue is sewn in and doesn ’ t move around, it makes it feel like more of a slip- on. And it ’s sturdy enough around my bad ankles without being super stiff. Shoes with too high of an arch built in cut into my foot and throw my foot off to the opposite side of the shoe. I 'm on a quest to see all of our National Parks and these were my first purchase. So far we have hiked in Shenandoah( rocky, damp, sometimes slippery) and in Death Valley( HOT! Dry! gravelly, uneven terrain) and these boots have been perfect in both. We got wet in Shenandoah but my feet stayed dry. We got sun- baked in Death Valley and my feet stayed blister- free. Running around, prepping for trip, they kept my feet warm and dry in negative temps and snow. Standing for 4+ hours at a time, no problem. These were the only shoes I took on my 7- day trip: walking, hiking, ice, snow, rain, airports, shopping on cobblestone streets- you name it, I did it and my feet felt great. I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

I got these for work, I work in landscape. I really love the style of these, I get lots of compliments on them. I got the tan leather color which I love. originally went half size bigger like website suggested but it was to big so I went with my true size a 10. I ’ ve worn them the last week so far so good took a day to break them in they were tiny bit stiff but so far I enjoy them. I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

These are my new go to shoes. I had a pair of croc stride lites that were falling apart after a few years of everyday use. Unfortunately, that style was discontinued and their other stride lites just do n't have the same footbed at all, so I was searching for a new casual shoe to wear every day and on trips. I can tell you that after a few different styles, I have found it. This shoe is wide enough for my feet to swell a little bit, after walking several miles, and has a very mild arch, which is perfect for my flat feet. The style goes well with many casual outfits and although I have worn this on several trips and around town, they have kept their shape wonderfully. Highly recommend this shoe.

I love every pair of Allbirds I have( 5 I think!). I got these for walking and am normally a pretty basic colors sort of person. Allbirds are bringing me out of my shell. While they look like they lace, they are actually slip on shoes and the laces are for looks. I like that. I went up 1/2 size because my other Allbirds are pretty snug across the top of my high instep when I wear even the lightest socks. All others I have bought my usual 6 1/2 M and I am happy to wear them all day every day without socks. The insole is comfortable enough and the slip ons are like wearing gloves. They offer perfect support for my high arch and my feet do n't get tired after a whole day of wearing them. I also love the ability to take out the insoles and wash them when the white soles get dirty. I 'm definitely an Allbirds fanatic at this point.

I have been a loyal Moab mid boot wearer for years, having owned and worn through 12 pairs or so. The Moab Speed 2 shoe was a game changer for my feet. This is my second pair of this shoe. I wore the first pair nearly every day, year round for three years until the soles wore down. Fit perfectly from day 1 and I used them for hiking, ordinary wear around town, and even to a casual restaurant dinner. Got many compliments along the way. I am male, wear a men's size US 6/Euro 39 shoe, and have difficulty finding my size, and a women's size 7. 5 works with this shoe. Asolo was a new brand name for me and I 'm sold on their quality and fit. The waterproof feature is a bonus, especially in winter.

[ I love the look of these and they were generally comfortable, but just wearing them around the house for a few minutes it was clear that the narrow footbed would be a problem on longer hikes, so sadly having to return. I do n't have particularly wide feet and usually do fine in regulars from other brands, these just run more narrow than most. They do also seem to run large- probably best to try in a store if you can.

Carhartt got rid of these for quite some time and I was forced to go to another company to replace my work boots which sucked, happy to see these are back up. I have already bought these 4- 5 times, union outdoor electrician with very few options as a woman in the field. These have a great fit for me, comfortable and no need to break in before wearing all day, no tight toe box. I wish they made this boot with some insulation for winter but these are my preferred boot of companies I 've tried. Please Carhartt, do n't take these brown work boots away again!!

I bought these boots in 2021 and 2 years later they are still in good shape. I wear these for work, hiking, and just out and about and they are comfortable and lightweight for safety boots. They need to be broken in for at least several days in the beginning and any time you go a few weeks without wearing them. The only noticeable wear is the sides have weakened out a little and fold slightly and the rubber traction on the bottom is wearing out after lots of time on gravel roads and rough terrain. One downside is they are not waterproof do have water seep in if you are hosing them down or stepping through deep enough water, so I wear different boots for that. The photos are what they look like after 2 YEARS of constant wear and tear on a construction site.

My only concern is the design of the exterior heel backs, as they do stick out unusually far... could it be a fall hazard on stairs if the boot does n't clear a step fully due to the extra length of the heel?

[ Searched around a lot. Bought these because my husband has Vasques and loves them. They ’ re comfy so far( just worn around the neighborhood and a couple short 1- 2 mile hikes). Grip seems good. I wore them in some slush/ice and had no issues. I think they ’ re really attractive. Was worried that the white sole would stain easily and look junky, but so far it ’s been fine. Haven ’ t been in mud yet though. I gave the comfort 4 stars because there ’s a spot where the upper was rubbing when I was breaking them in. It ’s gotten better and I imagine it will go away once they ’ re fully broken in. I ’ m also not used to having that much ankle coverage, so it could be that that ’s affecting me.

The only reason I didn ’ t give a five is because I had to get a replacement pair after one of the hooks snapped apart while hiking 1 month after I bought them. [ I have n't had to buy new hiking boots in years and though it would take lots of tries to find the right boots. I put these on and was immediately sold on how comfortable they were and how perfectly they fit. [ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. I read all the reviews about how comfortable they were and was a little skeptical, BUT they are extremely comfortable. I have flatter feet and worry about shoes I plan to live in.
