[ I have hiked 1000's of miles on Asolo boots over the years and had many models. This one runs a tad bigger ue I have always been a 10 in the boot line so I would say it fits more like a 10. 5 but comfortable. Very rigid sole, which I look for in a boot and slightly on the heavier side, which does n't bother me. I did see where someone complained about a stitching clustster were the toungue is sewn together amd that was rather uncomfortable as it sat directly beneath one of the lace locks. I took a pair of flat nose pliers to the material wad.. for lack of a better term.. lol and worked it over a bit w the pliers squeezing and turning wo tearing it! So do n't go to crazy just cruah it down and it solved that problem rather easily. Great boot. Fit is larger. Crush the extra material to soften it.

I was initially skeptical of the durability of these gaiters. They are very lightweight and very packable. I used them on a 10 day hike in the arctic( fall conditions) and they surpassed all my expectations. They performed well in the dry sand, tundra bogs, through rock and boulder scrambles, driving rain and snow as well as the muddy quicksand. They stayed in place well, the draw cord at the top held fast. The waterproofing was excellent and maintained its breathability. Hanging them or laying them out under the tent's fly/vestibule allowed any mositure accumulated through the day to be dry by morning. For these type of conditions I would highly recommend them. I would be suspect of the durability to low branches and brambles in the south, but OR has solid options for that.

The first pair I bought myself in 2014, side by side with their replacement that just arrived today. Pulled them out of the box and it was like meeting an old friend that hasn ’ t changed a bit. The fit and feel, perfection. Now, I literally hiked the soles off of the old pair. The toes cracked. Laces frayed but original. Should I have replaced them awhile ago- I did with the charcoal version. But kept these in my closet as a remembrance of my first pair of hikers that took me through the PCT AT. They wear well, almost zero break in, and the scars just as character. Thanks Asolo for a great boot and for keeping a classic, an unchanged classic.

Took me a while to figure out how to put them on. Add great coverage to the ankle area and laces. I have only used them once so far, but it looks like the bottom white strap will probably get torn eventually, all depends on the type of terrain it gets exposed to. I hope Black Diamond made this strap replaceable.

Dec 2023 on the Mo. Too windy for my poor fly fishing skills, so I was helping youngest with egg sacs. Boots are awesome. Follow the Simms sizing. I 'm a 9 in street shoes and ordered 10s. Run with wool socks and heated socks on top and still have a little room. I had a cheap K brand boot before and these are so much better. So much more support and structure. Especially if you have a hike to get to your spot. So glad I got these on sale. If they have your size, just buy them.

First, I ’ d like to share how amazing Vasque ’s customer service is. I initially purchased a differed boot that wasn ’ t hardy enough for the type of hiking I do- Vasque allowed me to return the boot immediately! So instead of going back to the brand I was with before( Scarpa) I decided to stick with Vasque and purchased this boot with my refund money. I am so glad I did. These boots really hold up with all the things the white mtns throw at you with little break in needed. I did need to loosely lace the boots and insert a toe box stretcher for my own needs but the boot has now confirmed to my foot. I fully submerged both feet by mistake several times. My feet were kept dry and warm. I felt my ankles were supported and my boots got more comfortable as my hike went on. I think I used the first 10 miles of the boot to break it in- and I just completed a 20 mile, 4 4000k peak hike in the whites. Zero blisters or hot points on my feet. Thank you vasque!!!

I have hypermobile joints, arthritis in my feet, bunions, and roll my ankles a lot; I ’ ve been on the hunt for the perfect shoe for years so that I could not be in pain every time I walk and this is it! Fantastic arch support( especially with a memory foam Redwing insole), great ankle support( no more rolling ankles), and the fit and construction are perfect. Very little breaking in, just squeaky for a bit. Absolutely recommend for people with delicate feet or folks who need a lot of support! I can work on my feet all day and not feel any pain. These are the best waders on the planet. Mine are the previous version introduced in 2018. They fit like no other wader and they perform like no other wader. I have never had a leak. I had them customised with a different bootie size for a modest additional charge. My advice is don ’ t sit down on anything with spikes and don ’ t march through any bushes with spikes. That seems like common sense to me. Superb waders. I anticipate writing an equally positive review of my waders in several years time. Worth every penny( I live and fish in Scotland) or cent.

I am a fish biologist in Washington State and wear waders pretty much two thirds of the year conducting stream and river surveys. I have owned several pairs of Simms waders and love the durability, flexibility, and breathability of the G3's. They are surprisingly rugged and have held up bushwhacking through blackberries, salmonberries and devils club, which can shred lesser waders.

[ I 'm new to the fly fishing game, but these appear to be great waders. I have n't used them yet because I live in Arizona and we do n't have water here, but I plan to soon. The sizing is very true and I am glad the picture is not actual size because if it was they would barely fit on my finger. Everyone says that Simms are the trusted name in wading equipment and from what I see so far, that appears to be very much the case.

I went hunting with my brother in Idaho where he was living and was unprepared for the weather! Lucky for me my brother had these amazing gaitors! they saved my feet on a multiday upland hunting adventure. We hiked 30+ miles in snowy conditions, and not good dry snow but that wet nasty snow. Day one my boots were soaked through and without these gators, I do n't know if I would have been able to keep going for the full week long trip. Great product at a great price!

The OR gaitors are great. Velcro front closure, boot lace hook to keep them secure from riding up, and easy rubber strap that secures under the sole of the boot. Plenty tall enough too. Would definitely recommend... Beginner or expert, anyone would find these useful!

I needed some new gaiters for snowshoeing and backcountry skiing. I been liking the Outdoor Research products I 've used recently so it was a no brainer to try these. No complaints! From the lace hook to the velcro enclosure and cinch strap at the top they work great. I went with a size large. I am 6' and about 180lbs and stomp around on size 11 feet. They come up to just under my knee and I need to cinch the cinch strap a good bit, but perfectly functional at that size for me.
