Like the other reviewers I was skeptical about how thin the material was. However, after wearing it snowboarding and Nordic skiing as a mid layer, it is awesome. The only downside I can tell is that the thumb holes are aligned in a way that sort of twists the sleeves. Also the seam line across the chest can be a little annoying to feel. Otherwise, warm and worth the upgrade.

I plan on buying 2 of every color this year, just in case Carhartt decides to change the design or drop the style. I 've been wearing this hoodie, at least once a week, for the past 5 months.. It's been very comfortable and warm. It has shown no signs of significant wear from washings, no seam stitching issues or color fade. As for durability, it has held up fine, no tears or chunks taken out of it to date. I know Carhartt makes this hoodie in a non- zippered style as well, but I like the zipper, because it helps keep this sweatshirt cooler when working outside.
