When shopping for a kayak I was looking for one for both recreational paddling as well as for fishing. I was also looking for one that would be easy for me to load by myself onto the top of my car. After about 8 months of use I have to say I have been very pleased with my purchase so far. The kayak weighs just over 50 pounds. This kayak can be unloaded and loaded on the top of the car fairly easy once you figure out the right approach. I found that this kayak has many of the features that I saw on some of the more expensive kayaks I was looking at. The seat is amazing. It's very comfortable and can be adjusted several ways to fit your comfort. You can easily stay on the water for several hours with this seat. Much better than some of the seats on other kayaks. The kayak has been tracking well for me and is very easy to maneuver around even when fishing. The stability is good but would not recommend trying to stand on it. I 've been very happy with all the accessories. The rod holders have worked out for me so far. Easy to place and remove rods while in the seat. I really like where the waterproof hatch is located for easy access. I have n't had any issues with water getting into the compartment like others have mentioned, but I do still put my valuables in a small waterproof bag which fits perfectly into the hatch. The front rails could be positioned a little better but have n't had an issue with adjusting my gear on it. Plenty of space in the back well to add a crate or carry a cooler. As a whole I would recommend this for those looking for a budget kayak with still be being able to get a lot of the features you will see on more expensive models.

This is an absolutely excellent kayak for beginners and seasoned kayakers alike. The width of the Passage offers exceptional stability, while its shorter length makes it easy to maneuver through both large and small bodies of water. The seat is surprisingly comfortable even when sitting for 3+ hours. Although this is not classed as an angler kayak, the built- in paddle keeper makes it easy to bring a rod and reel along if desired. The back scupper holes also fit my poles perfectly, so they may as well be flush mounted rod holders! My only qualm with this yak is the lack of storage/a dry well- if it had that, it would be the perfect yak. This has been a great purchase, and I love that it fits both myself( 5' 1 '') and my 30lb pup. It's also fairly light and not as much of a pain to lug around as I expected, which is a big bonus!

My husband and I purchased this after experiencing a tandem kayak for the first time while on a cruise. At first I thought it would be difficult to paddle as a team but it was the most fun we 've had in awhile! The Perception Rambler has a bit of weight to it but between the two of us we can easily carry it to the water. The weight also lends itself to stability both getting into the kayak as well as during turbulence on the water. Overall construction and performance aside, it's beautiful! I was so pleased with my 2021 Sportsman Topwater PDL 106 that I purchased a 2022 Sportman PDL 106 so I could take a friend and/or family member out fishing with me. It's stable enough that I can stand up to work the flats of South Texas and light enough to load/unload onto a truckbed or trailer with relative ease. Navigates creeks, rivers, bays and open water well. Very minimal amount of maintenance required to keep the PDLs running smoothly, even with running mostly exclusively in brackish and/or saltwater. Everyone who loves kayak fishing should have an Old Town!

I spent about a year and a half living in a downtown apartment with a parking garage. I got into a PDL 106 because I could store it hanging out the back of my truck bed and still park in the garage. This kayak has all the stability and most of the space compared to a Bigwater PDL but even more maneuverability. It is a little bit slower than other PDL models but I have no problem maintaining 3mph, even into the wind. I used this kayak as my main tournament rig for two seasons, a handful of B. O. S. events and many local Oklahoma events. This kayak is the perfect compact tournament platform for those that do n't want to trailer a huge kayak. Its very easy to get on to a kayak cart and move around. The PDL drive is amazing and of course has now been proven to be the most reliable pedal drive on the market. I ca n't think of a better pedal fishing kayak that anyone can easily throw in the back of a pickup.

I enjoy using this paddle. I have the 225 centimeter length, and it is very light, at only about 30 ounces. The blades deliver force, while still being light. I paddled at a medium- fast pace on a calm lake, in about a one and a half mile loop without getting tired. I did not have gloves on, and the rubber grips kept me from getting blisters. The drip rings worked, but because of the asymmetrical design, when you lift the paddle at too steep of an angle water drips off of the blades onto you. Not an issue if you have a spray skirt. The paddle floats, and the two halves fit together tightly, so that there was not a single drop of water in side when I took it apart. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality, effective, and inexpensive paddle.

I got this double kayak for my two boys that absolutely love to fish, swim and be on the water. It took us about 10 minutes to pump up which is not bad to be on the water paddling around and/or fishing out in the open water for the day. The seats were surprisingly comfortable for a long paddle session and the it was a sturdy ride. It was super easy to maneuver through the water. We ’ ve always wanted kayaks but didn ’ t have the room to store them. This comes with a storage bag that is easy to put the folded kayak back once dry that fits the oars and pump with ease. Amazing!

This inflatable kayak has worked well to paddle in our creek and out to the river with my son or daughter. I am careful to avoid downed trees or anything that could puncture it. We also plan to use it in the ocean and intracoastal. My 9yr old son fully inflated and assembled it by himself. It comes with 2 seats, 2 paddles, pump, repair kit, fins, and a nice zippered storage bag. While it is easy to setup, it does take some time and should be noted that there are a lot of parts to keep up with and the once inside the bag it is quite heavy and large to store or transport. For one person, it takes about 15 minutes to deflate and packup and bw 30- 45min to set up the first few times.

I bought the Pelican Classic 120 a month ago. I have been out in it several times and will agree with other reviews that say it is comfortable, quite stable and needs tracking help in any wind. I ended up building a skeg for it rather than order options found on line. The skeg improved tracking in wind greatly. Paddling is fine but it is not a fast kayak by any means. Mostly due to the hull design. It does have a good load capacity which came in handy paddling in bundles of firewood to a remote campsite in VT. I have no regrets with the purchase and will recommend to those wanting a decent fishing kayak.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try Lifetimes Stealth 11 set on top kayak and I ’ m impressed! First, thing that I noticed is the light weight and easy mobility for a kayak that weighs under 60lbs. This platform includes a skeg wheel that assists in easy transport along with four different carrying handles that provides you with plenty of lift options. The next notable feature is the seat and deck area. For a fixed seat option, this is certainly one of the more comfortable options I ’ ve tried. There is a good amount of padding and comfort in the seat and back that will ease fatigue on long outings. I like the open deck storage area a lot. There is plenty of room to strap down a hydration system, tackle or other kayaking equipment without it getting in the way while fishing. There is also a very convenient storage hatch on the deck just in front of the seat. Behind your seat is another large area to store a cooler like the Lifetime 28 quart high performance or a tackle crate setup. Once I got the Stealth 11 on the water, that ’s where the performance really shines. It tracks perfectly and is easy to paddle. I felt very stable and comfortable in the kayak and found the center mounted rod holding very convenient while moving from one spot to another. Its lightweight design truly helps the overall performance and tracking capabilities. I have had a lot of Kayaks in my day and I can honestly say this is one of my favorites. The new intelligent scupper system worked like a charm and kept me completely dry. Kayaks I have owned in the past always soaked my feet with residual water after a while paddling around. The built in wheel in the keel made transport to and from the water an absolute breeze! The Built in Rod Holders were the perfect size for my full size catfish poles all the way down to my smaller panfish rods. The kayak was super easy to paddle and tracked really well. The Lifetime Sit On Top Stealth 11 Kayak is my first ever kayak and I 'm excited to talk about it. It has some great features and I 'll address them all. 1.) The adjustable padded seat was very comfortable to me while a paddled around the pond and fished. 2.) The tank well storage areas in front and back have plenty of room for my gear although on the maiden voyage I chose to take very little. The bungee cord lacing is extremely tight and will safely secure my gear. 3.) The tracking was on spot as I paddled. Getting from point A to point B was very easy. And maneuvering was just a breeze. I found out you do n't have to paddle hard to get this kayak moving and bringing to a stop or making a sharp turn. This was extremely easy. 4.) The Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 seems very stable and at no time was I concerned about it tipping over. 5.) The multiple foot rests provide great comfort while paddling and allow me to also stretch my legs when resting. 6.) The storage hatch could not be in a more convenient location. Right in front of me if I needed to get into it quickly. 7.) The 4 carry handles seemed strong enough and easy on the hands as I pulled the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 to the waters edge. 8.) I liked the idea of the adjustable rod holder sitting between my legs and out of my way when paddling or landing a fish. The 2 flush mounted rod holders behind the seat make switching rods quick and easy. 9.) I also like the skeg wheel. No worries when I have to pull the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 over concrete. 10.) So I paddled around about 4 hours before I decided it was to hot out and time to quit. The Smartflow scupper system did it's job keeping water off the deck. 11.) The paddle holder is in perfect reach, no need to lean or stretch to get to it. So I have say that the Lifetime Kayak Sit On Top Stealth 11 is the perfect first kayak for me to start out with.

It's a little heavy and bulky on land, but handled easily enough by two people. Handles well in the water. We have owned this kayak for almost 8 years. Aside from the seat back and clips that attach it eventually breaking, we have had zero problems. I contacted customer service and they had a shipment( at no cost to us) in the mail within 24 hours with replacement parts. Myself and multiple of my children use this kayak for summer fun and fishing. I love using it with my toddlers because it is SO stable, you almost can not turn it over even if you wanted to. Excellent for a family style kayak adventure on the lake, or those who prefer more stability. We have even taken this one to the ocean twice and used for fishing, it withstands the waves and proved very useful for dropping bait. Only downside that comes with the stability, of course, is it is quite heavy to move. Luckily, ours does not go far.

I coupled with a MinnKota 45 lb. thrust trolling motor and it moves me around well. I ’ m 5 ’ 10 ” and weigh 200. I carry a 10 lb anchor which I store under the battery cover to distribute the weight. The 360 swivel works well for me. This isnt an inexpensive kayak but you get more than what you pay for in a stabile one person fishing craft that is packed with good features. Are the flaws? Sure there are some things they might want to consider such as the raised track handles put quit a bit on leverage on the hull but having those tracks there opens up all kinds of possibilities. This was my first yak and I ca n't imagine I could have bought any better this boat is as much fun as it is functional. One suggestion for future models is a sucken battery well to lower the center of gravity a bit and to help keep the battery in place.

We bought 2 Sorento 106 SK's last year 2023. So far we have been out on several occasions. We are both 60+ years old and shorter than average under 5' 5 '' tall and the 106 seemed like the perfect fit and it turns out to be just that. They are slightly heavy, but the two of us can carry one with ease. Putting them on the roof rack can be a little bit of a challenge but again with two people it is a breeze. I could carry and transport by myself if I wanted to. Transporting them on the roof is like they arent even there. The Kayak is strong and seems relatively stiff. We have been in 10 '' deep lily pad ponds and spent hours exploring open lakes. The Skeg proves to be a game changer when it comes to going in a straight line like crossing a lake or pond, the skeg up is perfect for exploring shallow swamps. The skeg is bungee loaded so it will lift up if you hit something like an underwater log or rock. The seat is fully adjustable and can be configured to fit perfect, as well as the foot rests. I adjusted while in use with no problems. The very comfortable seat back is low so it does n't interfere with a life jacket. The molded plastic seems to hold up pretty well with scratches, and if you do hit something nothing breaks or cracks like a composite Kayak would. Extremely durable! Everything about this Kayak is a plus, I could not find anything to say to the contrary. If you are deciding do n't waste your time this in my opinion is the best bang for your buck. We plan on a couple of trips to some remote streams in northern New England this year and looking forward to it.

[ I love my Sorrento 106SK. It's pretty, which, okay, sue me, is important to me. But most importantly, it moves really well, especially with the drop- down skeg, which makes a big difference when I 'm on the river. When I go out with friends, I have to make an effort to slow down as my boat easily outpaces other lesser models. More glide with less effort. It's also quite comfortable. Only reason I am not giving it five stars is that, for me at least, it is kind of heavy. I manage when it comes to portage, but it is not an easy lifter! All in all, I am super happy with it.

I 've had this kayak for a few years now and we absolutely love it!! I weigh almost 300 lbs and it is very stable. My daughter has a pink youth kayak and we lay down the seats in our Honda CRV( 2008) put mine in nose first, seatbelt through the hand grip, then put hers in upside down and backwards, attaching her hand grip at the nose of her kayak to the back hand grip of my kayak. They both fit perfectly with all our camping stuff underneath. The seat back is so comfortable and worth it!! I got a lifevest that's shorter in the back specifically for kayaking and we can be on the lake all day. I hope this review helps someone else know you can still enjoy kayaking and the outdoors even if you do n't have a camper or truck to haul it all in. We fit just perfectly! Best investment ever!!

Customer Service( Alex) was super helpful in ordering me some backup parts b/c I have had a few groups not use the straps properly. Renters love them& my family love them as well. Easy enough for one person to lift them to get on the rack and to bring inside for winter storage. Going on season 2 with these.

This kayak is well- loved — I 've owned it for just about 8 years now — and it just a fun little kayak. Tracking straight takes some time to master, it will seem impossible at first, and even then, it is never great, but it is incredibly stable, you can stand up in it and fish, and easy to transport. It's built like a tank.

[ Found the right kayak for me. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 and 235lbs 73 years old. Needed the length and cockpit size for comfort and stability and tracking. Yet can easily carry the kayak both assembled or in the box.( With backpack or straps) Performed well in a protected( calm) salt marsh on the North Fork of LI. It ’s not for windy or choppy conditions but mostly have paddled calm water for last 35 years in hard shell boats so given the portability and performance, might be giving up my hard shell…. third time assembling got it down to 12 minutes!

[ We purchased the Beach Sport kayak for the ability to bring Tippi, our Golden Doodle along with us! We had our maiden voyage in Alamitos Bay, and paddled around Naples Canals in Long Beach California! Tippi loved it and got her sea legs going fine! We love to include her in our adventures, and the other Kayaks did not have room for her. The boat felt stable and solid for paddling in the nice calm bay. My husband paddled Mombo( the name for the new black kayak). I paddled his Coast xt— that one is a pain to assemble,( compared to my Bay ST), but the paddle is sweet and fast. My Bay St started leaking, which is also what spurred the new purchase. I paddled much more than my husband, so the Coast is in pretty good shape— but I noticed a little compromise on one of the folding corners! I might need to repair it before it leaks. [ I absolutely love my new Oru Kayak! It arrived promptly, as promised. I ordered the bundle with the backpack, oar and cell phone waterproof bag; I also added the life vest and safety whistle. My first assembly of the kayak took a bit longer, but worked marvelously. I have taken it out once on the very calm lake behind my house — smooth riding. Can ’ t wait for more great kayaking!!

Being 6 ’ 4 ”( 170 lbs) with 36 ” inseam legs and size 14 feet, I was worried. But after trying the Beach LT out on a lake for 2 hours( 5- 6 miles), I ’ m happy with the comfortable fit with plenty of room and adjustment range left for taller people. Compared to my similar sized conventional kayak( Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120) the Beach LT is a bit faster. But it also tracks less well and is more tippy due to the more v- shaped bottom. Small prices to pay for the easy transport advantages.

I bought my original Oru a little over 3 years ago, and this past summer I got stuck on a submerged log and but the time I was able to get off it, I had created a hole in the bottom of the kayak! I tried to repair it, but have not yet had success. I ’ m going to keep trying! When I saw your sale of 30% off with a free paddle, I took advantage and purchased a new Beach LT! Although I have not yet received the free paddle, which I ’ m hopeful is on its way, I am excited to have two Beach LT ’s( once I fix my older one) in order to have the ability to go out paddling with a friend whenever I ’ d like!
