It's warm and comfy. Soft fleece, lots of zippers and pockets. Got the gray, the fleece is different from my other Denali's. The fleece is maybe softer than the usual Denali fleece. The fleece does shed, which I guess happens with the softer fleece. It is way more cropped than the older Denali as well. The name should say `` Cropped ''. I 'm considering sizing up to see if it will make any difference, but that means the sleeves will be much wider. I 'm not sure why the under arms are soooo huge maybe to decrease sweating hence the zippers under the arms. They should have two options for the Denali, one with a regular length and one cropped for women. This one is functional, but will rise up. I buy a new Denali every few years, this one is very different. The prices keep going up and the jackets and sweaters keep getting shorter.

[ There is a lot to really like about this jacket. Water and wind resistant fabric, lightweight, perfect as an extra layer for those cool mornings or evenings. I tend to bring a jacket with me where ever I go so I love that it is packable. Other packable jackets I 've tried can feel cheap or flimsy, but what I like most about this jacket is that there is no compromise quality of the material- it still feels great when I wear it. Thoughtful touches with the zipper design to keep rain out, the bungie cords at the waist for a more secure fit, and vented back to help with breathability really bring functionality to this piece. If there was one thing I would change about this jacket is the cut; the length is a little too cropped and the sleeves a bit baggy for me personally, but I know that's the style and it can work great for others.

[ This jacket is amazing! I 've been looking for a rain coat that's light weight and comfortable, but that would n't stick to my skin when it rained. I think I finally found that! It has a hood and a cinch cord around the waist to really keep rain out. The vent flap in the back is the only weird thing about it. Because it is just tacked around the edges, it sometimes falls open and you can see glimpses of the shirt underneath. I do n't think that's a huge issue because it does n't effect the usefulness of this jacket and it does n't fall open enough for me to care about. The sleeves are long enough for me, which I love! That's something I typically have issues with since my arms are so long. I ca n't wait for the next time it rains!

I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. After all the accolades though, what stands out the most about this brand to me is that it was born in the City of Detroit for the tough, honest, hardworking man and wearing it, to quote Doc Holiday, kind of reminds me of me.

This is one of the more convenient running items I have ever purchased and I love it. I also like the fit, as it sits right on the waist area. I usually prefer for these to go slightly below the waist, but this one is nice as is. If you are running and get too warm the ability to change it to a vest is so convenient.
