They helped a little with the snow( they are not waterproof), but they are perfect for track. I bought these 3 weeks ago, as the gym I joined required full fingered gloves. Was hoping Harbinger made some, but they didnt. I was told I could use baseball batting gloves too, but I wanted something more fitness oriented. The fingertip `` swipe pads '' I thought were a joke, until i actually used them. I suggest trying them on before buying, I ended up buying a smaller size than i thought for a more snug fit. and the padding in the palms and materials are good.

With a smartwool liner, though, kept me toasty down into the lower 20s. Quality wise looks great. The leather looks like it will hold up much better than any fabric. [ I bought these gloves at the height of winter and I have not looked back. They are extremely warm and keep your hands dry in every condition. They especially shined when it came to winter sports because any contact with the snow would previously give me wet, cold hands. There is no such thing with these with the combination of GoreTex and with the cuffs going up so high on my arm and being adjustable, wet hands and arms are a thing of the past. There are a number of handy features as well with finger holds on the outside of ring fingers make the gloves easy to remove even while gloved. The retention cuffs do their job well. I would recommend these for someone looking for a nice pair of gloves that wants to keep their hands warm and dry. They outperform everything else at their price point.

I normally get gloves of another brand and while those are great for cold winter weather, the light use gloves I get from them were n't that great so I 'd be on the lookout for another pair and came across these in store. What these are good for is cool weather and general use. The gloves fit my hands well and do n't have the odd long finger length that I get with most other gloves. These are great for protecting and keeping my hands warm and look good. I use them for quick dog walks and sitting at Fall and Winter soccer games watching my kid. What they 're not good for is winter weather. Here in NC we 've been getting some pretty cold temps of late and my finger tips will start getting cold and these are not water proof. Used these gloves for 1 day between 14 and 28 deg F with windgusts and snow machines on making icy and windy conditions for a much lower feels like temp. First off, the GoreTex in these gloves holds up to its reputation, the ice/snow from the snow machines stuck to everything and ev eventually would melt but my gloves on the inside didnt feel wet at all even once. Wore these without the liner and they are comfortable, but not that warm. My hands were cold but not super uncomfortably cold by lunch without the liner in. Put the liner in after going back out and it made a world of difference. My hands stayed warm the rest of the day even after the sun went down and temperature dropped significantly. After a full day of use on the slopes carrying ski poles most of the time, there is no sign of any use on these gloves and i am hopeful they keep holding up for me. They were fairly expensive at full price, but seem to be worth it so far.

The Patrol gloves feel like a toned down version of the Guide gloves that I 've used extensively. The biggest difference is the shorter gauntlet and the insulation only covering the palm, where the insulated inner runs down over the wrist into the gauntlet on the Guides. Because of those differences the mobility is a bit better with the Patrol, they 're a less bulky/more packable and are n't quite as warm as the Guides.

Absolutely love these gloves for mahy reasons. Firstly, the glove has an amazing fit. While it is easy to get on with the straps to help it is a snug fit that allows me to manouever very well with them. Additionally, the gloves are not so big and padded that I ca n't do much with my hands, however, they still keep my hands warm. My only complaint would be that it is really difficult to use my phone despite the fingertip specifically meant for using the phone. Would highly recommend these gloves.

While hiking or training with search and rescue( volunteer) I often have my gloves on and off for tasks as well as taking pictures during hikes, what strikes me with these is that they feel dry and warm every time I put them back on after the task or picture!

Not warm enough for standing around ice- fishing in New England. They are very durable and well- made. So far the coldest it's been but I 've unloaded it's about 13 ° and they have done really well so far. The thumb and index finger probably get the warmest, but overall the whole hand is pretty warm. It's very important. I think to turn them on in the truck first and let him get warm then go outside with them and they maintain very well. So far as winter comes it will get colder especially in the northern Nevada and we will see how that goes.

[ I got these especially for long winter walks with my dog. They are keeping my hands comfortable down to about 20F for an hour. I ordered them a size up( the largest, 11) so I can add another thin wool glove liner and that's pretty good down to 10F. The leather is soft, molding to my hand, showing some wear after a few weeks, so I hope it holds up over time.

The gloves are amazing balancing the durability of leather and the performance of gortex. The gloves can be a little stiff but after a day of use they feel start to feel like a second skin. The details are really what makes this glove so great. The pull loop combined with the velcro cuff is a amazing mix that lets you put both gloves on in a matter of seconds. The gloves are plenty warm for just about anything, I 've used them down to below zero with wind chill with just a liner and my hands were as toasty as ever. I 've yet to have a issue with the palm leather wetting out. The only issue I 've had is that velco on the cuff can cause the material around it to fuzz up a little bit but it's barley notice able and is only a visual problem. Overall I 'd recommend these gloves for anyone who is looking for a great ski glove for the slopes, and beyond.

I recently used these gloves on two different 11- 12 hour hikes in chilly conditions. Temps were minus 12 F with wind chill at minus 20 to minus 30 F. These kept my hands warm from start to finish. Even with a good amount of hand sweat they still performed well and the gloves didn ’ t feel damp on the inside. I highly recommend these gloves.

Sometimes you want a lighter, thinner glove that makes it easier to manipulate things in your pack, pull skins, dig pits, etc. Other days you want a glove that keeps you warm and dry when it ’s dumping and windy on the chairlift. These are those gloves. The inner liner can be pulled out to dry faster, and the long gauntlet shell keeps rain and snow where it ’s supposed to be. I supplemented the included Nikwax for better coverage and seam sealing. So far these are my favorite in- bounds gloves in years, better than the Hestras and Kincos I have used in the past.

These gloves were used on an expedition cruise to Antarctica where I did zodiac rides and hiking. They kept my hands warm in sub- freezing temps, no issue! They are bulky so you loose some dexterity, but that ’s just how it ’s going to be with these gloves. It was nice to be able to remove the GorTex outer and use the inner glove on more temperate days. I got several pair of these gloves for snowboarding/skiing. They are very warm with they liners. We have only used them on days were the temps were in the 20's and we did n't need the liners. They are dry and I love the features such as the tethers and cuff cinch. They are bulky with the liners and tend to run a bit large. My 16 year old son wears the small and I can fit the medium. I 've always had issues with cold hands while skiing. My best pair are the 3 finger Hestra glove which until i bought these, were my go to warm gloves. Even with the Hestra gloves, my fingers would get cold below 15°. Recently we were planning a ski trip and the forcast temps were to be a high of 0° and i knew my other gloves would not be sufficient, so i decided to purchase the Action heat gloves. I was very happy, with the sub 0° temps, my hands stayed warm. With those temps, I did keep them on the high setting knowing that I had also purchased a 2nd set of batteries which I 'm glad i did. I bought these for everyday wear in 30- 50 degree weather of all sorts and they do not disappoint. Some of the best general purpose gloves daily use gloves I have ever had for keeping my hands warm. I have a whole collection of gloves, including others from OR, that do not meet that goal. I suspect that those reviewers that find fault with warmth or wind resistance simply did not get the right fit for their particular hand shape. These gloves are water- resistant( not proof) for up to two hours and did allow me to check my phone but just barely, so keep those expectations reasonable. They are comfortable and let me work outside for a long time with comfortably warm and flexible hands. Buying more so I can clean the non- performers out.

These gloves are very nice for driving and keeping hands warm, I bought these to keep my hands warm while driving to and from work as well as the walk between work and the car. Working at a ski resort I see below zero temps on my way home and thats the exact reason i bought these. love them for clearing snow of the windows and just for keeping my hands warm while the car warms up! They fit great and break in nicely and fit even better after a few uses!
