I own one for the last 3 years. This is my preferred paddle to any trip, to cover distance on flat water, or for white water. It is light, the angles can be adjusted to break wind resistance, it provide good grip and the shaft is slightly ovalled. It is durable and easy to transfer in a car as it is built out of 2 pieces. It has a hook catch and water drip caps that are very useful. A small downside is the the paddles blade reinforcement that Pelican designed with only one narrow stripe. BTW, the Pelican warranty deserves a good review, I had an issue and it was addressed in a quick and efficient way. In total, I am buying a second one to the partner I will paddle with in my tandem kayak.

This is my third purchase and installation of a YakGear anchor trolley kit. I loved it on my first two kayaks and had to have it for my new Pelican Catch 100 also purchased from Dick ’s. I often fish areas where winds and/or currents carry me away from a hot spot and force me to quit fishing in order to paddle back to where the fish are. The trolley allows me to stay put and to be pointed in the right direction at the same time. Installation was easy thanks to multiple how- to videos on the internet. I was hesitant to bring this on a full day charter because of the price point. It's E glass rod so its durable not but sensitive. Caught 3 tuna( see photos) on it! It held up for this first charter. I ca n't say for sure if it will hold up next time but it did exceed my expectation. I had this paired with a Daiwa BG 6500 65lb braid and 40 lb mono topshot with a 40 lb fluoro leader. Flylining with a seeker rig down in Mexico water departing from San Diego, Ca. The reel seat barely fit the BG btw. Guides held up. Rod is still in good shape too! I wish the butt the of the rod was longer. For the price this is a steal for any deep sea water fishing. Way cheaper than all the higher end brands like Daiwas or Shimano, so it might just be worth trying.

I bought my first Classic boat cover about 9 years ago. Those covers were destroyed in less than a year by sunlight. The tie downs turned to graphite within 9 mos to a year. I called to verify that the 5 yr warranty covered that type of degradation and told it was covered. A very nice lady asked me to take pictures of the damage and email them to her. I called a couple of days later to make sure she got the pictures and she said yes and the cover had been shipped. It arrived on the next Friday. I had problems with 3 more tops and each was taken care of rapidly in the same courteous manner. The next top I bought was an Empire top and it started failing within 4 months. I called their service department and they said to pack it up in the original box and mail it to them and they would replace after 30 to 60 day waiting time. My marine mechanic saw that top and told me to go and look the 7 year old top on his boat and it looked almost new. It was a Classic Industries but the material was different than my first Classic tops. I purchased it and it is the best top I have ever had on my boat. I have had it on for 5 months and it still looks like new. Thanks for the best fitting top I have ever had!!
