I want to preface this by stating I purchased this rod in 2022, and the rod I have has different decals than the one listed, so I am unware if the quality of the rod has changed over this time. I bought this rod for inshore saltwater fishing, and it does an amazing job with jig applications. The rod has a good backbone, allowing for firm hooksets. Yet still has a sensitive enough tip to feel more subtle bites. This rod is great for black sea bass! I accidently put this rod to the test when trying to snag some bait with it, and hooking into a small shark. The rod held up well all throughout the fight and did not break. After that experience, I thought for$ 20 this thing has exceeded all my expectations. I paired my rod with a Penn Wrath 4000.

These poles are easily adjustable with a very good range, study yet very light and I feel they put less wear on the pockets than the trekking poles. The shelter calls for a 125 cm trekking pole, but it just does n't collapse for easy storage; these poles do! I have no problems crawling into the tarp, and with another tarp on the ground underneath, I 'm dry! Ventilation is my only problem... other than that, these poles are great!

[ I purchased a Big Agnes tent for lightweight backpacking, and decided that adventure bikepacking is a go too... so, I ordered these poles to use when I do n't have my Trekking Poles. [ I purchased a Big Agnes tent that used trekking poles rather that having tent poles. I purchased these tarp poles so I could use the tent on bike trips. They seem to work in a home test. I only gave them four stars due to my lack of field testing over repeated trips. They do seem well made and durable. The lengths are well marked( in metric numbers). I typically like to travel light, so I am pleased that this minimalist 2- person tent weighs less four pounds.

I used this for a week long fishing trip and it exceeded expectations. It was durable and versatile in use from walleye, northern, bass and even lake trout fishing with a slab! I needed a rod to fish the ocean from central Ohio. Small enough to pack in an airline overhead compartment, medium action, 7 ft long, rated for 10- 50 lbs line and 3/4- 6oz lures. Only caught 5 grunts on first outing but worked like my freshwater Ugly Styks.

I 've got several ugly stiks and this rod is also really nice. First of all, it's a fast action rod which means the top 1/3 bends and the rest offers really strong backbone. It's specially great for offshore/boat fishing for rockfish, ling, hamachi, yellowfin, halibut, and striper. Also I love the one piece stainless steel guide rings. No need to worry about cracked ceramic. One thing would be great is having a bottom( butt) cap like Ugly Stik jigging rod. But it's not an issue at all. Anyways, it feets good and sturdy. Definitely satisfied with my purchase.
