I 'm so glad I did n't order these online, I opted to try on my normal size at a local retailer and they were crazy tight, like early 2000s skinny jeans. I then tried on 2 sizes up from my regular waist size and they fit nicely with a belt. If you work out and have thighs and glutes that are semi- built order a size or two up in the waist for mobility. As far as quality goes, I like the thickness and rigidity of the material, definitely a nice resistant fabric.

These trousers were the reason for me to fall in love with the Fjällräven brand. I 've used them extensively while camping, tenting, hiking and- yes- winter mountaineering. I absolutely love the design, materials and functionality. Those were my first pair of hiking pants with pre- bent knees and I felt the difference in comfort and freedom of movement. In hot summer days, they might feel a bit heavy, so the ventilations are essential to keep you cool. I can appreciate the front pockets as well, as they have enough depth and are easy to reach on the go. My pair is ageing quite well and has no issues with the durability even after extensive use and washing cycles- the color on the G- 1000 does start to fade a bit, but it looks even cooler that way. Overall these are one of my favorite trousers. For the winter mountain, they are a bit baggy and may get in the way of your crampons, so I switched to a pair of Bergtagen Stretch for that. Still, they can do the job and will not let you down. For all other seasons, they are unbeatable.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. I was worried that the waist would be too tight on me as I am not used to wearing high- waisted pants and I do not have a curvy figure. Going by the size guide, I ordered size 40, but the hips and legs were much too baggy, although the waist was okay but still loose. I took a chance and exchanged the 40 for a 38. When I first tried them on I found the hips and legs fit perfectly. But the waist, as feared, seemed too snug. I kept the pants for a couple of weeks and every few days I would try them on and wear for short periods indoors. After a while, the waist started to loosen just enough to feel comfortable. I have worn them a few times now and the fit just keeps getting better! I am so happy because I really wanted to like these pants and now I have a pair that fit beautifully. I will use them for hiking year round and in the winter as a good pair of outdoor pants in Alaska.

The “ Arche Rock Pants ”, according to a very helpful person in Consumer Service, are the closest match. They have great stretch, and I loved the adjustable waist and venting in particular as I tend to run hot. The fabric is really durable but has enough stretch to accommodate movement( climbing, bouldering in the gym, riding a bike, stretching, etc). The fit is a little bit tight; most people will probably find them to be a nice athletic fit( and fine with the stretch) but if you have thighs like pistons they might be too tight. This is my second pair, the first pair are still doing great except the pocket liners wore out. Hopefully that durability issue has been solved. While minor, it has been annoying.

It's true that this fabric does pill little bit but hear me out- they 're still totally worth it! One of the best mountaineering pants you can get- durable, breathable, and yet still warm at any altitude. These are my go- to pants for many PNW mountain treks( Mt Adams, Middle Sister, Mt. Hood, etc). The fit is fairly true- to- size, but I would have expected a bit more stretch in the waist. I 'm usually a 32 in most clothing, and M's feel a bit tight. There's plenty of stretch in the legs which makes for easily climbing, but the waist can definitely be a bit annoying. It's not enough to take away from how great these are, but something to consider if you 're on the border of sizes.

After reading many reviews on different hiking pants, these were towards the top. With the EV discount you ca n't go wrong. Super comfy and good amount of pockets, not too much or too little.

I love these pants for hiking and backpacking. The material breathes well, dries quickly and is cool in hot weather but warm enough when actively hiking into the upper 40s even in a mild breeze. The draw cord at the waist is very nice and works well. Eliminate need for a belt, which gets in the way when carrying a backpack. The draw chords at the cuffs are nice, but they require a plastic attachment, which is easily lost. They should be supplied with one or two replacements when purchased.

My favorite shorts for hiking would recommend more for warm movements. But can pair well with cold days if you layer or if you run hot.

These pants are super light weight and comfortable. Even though they are thin they are surprisingly warm. I ’ m 6 ’ 1, 235lbs and I ’ m a shorts guy. These pants have changed my mind and I would recommend them to anyone that dislikes wearing pants as much as I do.

These pants are fantastic. I have tried multiple other brands from other outdoor clothing makers and these pants topped them all. They are lightweight, very cool and breathable, and will generally work for any occasion. You can dress these up or dress them down or go hiking and even out to dinner. Would 100% recommend them.

my 3rd pr of hiking pants from Fjallraven, and as usual, do n't disapoint. the keb agile are lightweight, and good for long distance backpacking trips. They wash up nicely in the sink and dry overnight. Lots of pockets. the pants stretch nicely and do n't bind at the waist at all.( this is the new updated fit, and i love it)!

I wanted to love the keb trousers but I couldn ’ t get over a few flaws. The thicker material is not ideal for summer conditions and the reinforced butt gave me a uni- butt. I recently bought the keb agile trousers and they are perfect. The pants are thinner, still durable, and have quite a bit of stretch! Overall I think these new trousers are the perfect edition to my hiking wardrobe.

This is my first Fjallraven pair of trousers. I 've previously bought from other outdoor brands. Pros: Material seems high quality and very breathable even with long johns underneath. It feels durable and the stitching is immaculate. It has a lot of ventilation pockets and deep storage pockets. Deep pocket placement is great so items wo n't poke you while walking or squatting/sitting. The ankles are slightly flared so thick socks and boots can fit comfortably. They also have buttons so you can do a tighter fit. It is comfortably high waisted and makes movement smooth/easy. I have a curvy figure and the fit is very flattering. No crotch seam. Cons: there are questionable too many seams, which squeeze on you when squatting or bending the knee, but the pants may be flexible because of the seams. It is not a stretchy material so your size is very important. It hugs your waist, so it is not easy to put the pants on as a curvy person. Once it's on, it feels like a second skin though. It does run small. I was hoping a large would let me wear a base layer, but it just barely fits. With the amount of seams, a base layer will probably protect your skin from seams digging in. Will update once I take it out for a few weeks.

These pants are amazing. Very comfortable, easily packable, they look great. They are extremely comfortable to walk in due to the combination of stretch material. Can ’ t imagine a better design than this. I haven ’ t had any zipper issues as I ’ ve seen others mentioning. I can only imagine that they are trying to keep the weight down with lighter zipper material. I ’ ll be purchasing another pair of these for sure.

I thought my Vidda Pro's were the best trousers I had... until I picked up a pair of Keb Agile's in the sale. Hands( or legs) down the best trekking and general wear trousers I have ever bought in 35 plus years of trekking and hiking around the globe. Their first proper test was a hike and snowmobile up Langjokull glacier in Iceland and they performed brilliantly. The position of the thigh pockets is genius, and gives you easy access to items when sitting. The reinforced areas are perfect, especially the inner calf areas. These are going to get a lot of use and I expect them to be as durable and hard wearing as all the many other bits of Fjallraven kit that I own.

These pants are awesome. Great baggier fit for people with larger muscular legs. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 or 188cm and I got a L regular. Slightly long but nothing a belt can ’ t help. I took them on a mountaineering adventure snowshoeing through knee to waist deep snow without getting even a drop wet. Incredible breathability, stretch, and comfort. I love the color too! They even ripped because I snagged them with a crampon and still didn ’ t let any water through!

One of the best mountaineering pants you can get- durable, breathable, and yet still warm at any altitude. These are my go- to pants for many PNW mountain treks( Mt Adams, Middle Sister, Mt. Hood, etc). The fit is fairly true- to- size, but I would have expected a bit more stretch in the waist. I 'm usually a 32 in most clothing, and M's feel a bit tight. There's plenty of stretch in the legs which makes for easily climbing, but the waist can definitely be a bit annoying. It's not enough to take away from how great these are, but something to consider if you 're on the border of sizes.

I purchased these pants( dark blue and black, size XL) several months ago and wear them frequently to work as a college professor and/or weekend adventures. They wash well( machine wash, cold water, and tumble dry, low heat). They do n't `` pill '' on the inner thighs, which I experience with most of my other pants. They are great! Buy them in every color!
