I have already bought these 4- 5 times, union outdoor electrician with very few options as a woman in the field. I bought these boots in 2021 and 2 years later they are still in good shape. I wear these for work, hiking, and just out and about and they are comfortable and lightweight for safety boots. They need to be broken in for at least several days in the beginning and any time you go a few weeks without wearing them. The only noticeable wear is the sides have weakened out a little and fold slightly and the rubber traction on the bottom is wearing out after lots of time on gravel roads and rough terrain. One downside is they are not waterproof do have water seep in if you are hosing them down or stepping through deep enough water, so I wear different boots for that. The photos are what they look like after 2 YEARS of constant wear and tear on a construction site.

Not the MOST comfortable, but it is a more old school boot. Soles hold up incredibly well considering I walk on broken glass every day. First, I ’ d like to share how amazing Vasque ’s customer service is. I initially purchased a differed boot that wasn ’ t hardy enough for the type of hiking I do- Vasque allowed me to return the boot immediately! So instead of going back to the brand I was with before( Scarpa) I decided to stick with Vasque and purchased this boot with my refund money. I am so glad I did. These boots really hold up with all the things the white mtns throw at you with little break in needed. I did need to loosely lace the boots and insert a toe box stretcher for my own needs but the boot has now confirmed to my foot. I fully submerged both feet by mistake several times. My feet were kept dry and warm. I felt my ankles were supported and my boots got more comfortable as my hike went on. I think I used the first 10 miles of the boot to break it in- and I just completed a 20 mile, 4 4000k peak hike in the whites. Zero blisters or hot points on my feet. Thank you vasque!!!

I weigh any where from 155- 165 at any given point. I am fire sprinkler fitter and have loved every bit of these boots. Downside with my trade is often times being in standing water and you get what you get from them not being water proof, that ’s okay. My girlfriend tries to get me to wear a different brand, nah….. Ashby's for life lol I can still wear the ones I have now but the bottoms are to slick for me, has holes all in the leather and I ’ ve tied together the shoelaces to many times. It ’s time to retire em!

I bought these boots about 4 months ago as a dress/casual boots as I was wearing Irish Setter Ashby 83908( a Union IW wearing safety toes, 100% BS right?). Well I was moved to another crew and was walking Iron and need a pair of lace ups. These boots have exceeded all expectations. The have been subjected to climbing columns, welding, cutting torches, and grinders( cut off wheels, tiger paws, and grinding rocks.) I wear these boots everyday for 18 hours+ from 4: 30 A. M. to about 10: 30 P. M. when I finally get to bed. I have walked 5+ miles a day( sometimes up to 15 miles a day) in them and the just keep going. My only gripe is Irish Setter does n't make an 8 '' version of this boot! I will be upgrading to Redwing 411/2418 in the next few weeks, but I will still wear these a a pair of 2nds. I will ALWAYS and FOREVER SONG THE PRAISES OF IRISH SETTER as the BEST entry level work boot! Oh lastly, I love Irish Setter boots so that I actually got married in a pair of them. Our Priest thought that was a little nuts but I was going to wear the boots I love to become one flesh with the woman I love! NOW GET UP ON IT! OH AND SEND STICKERS!

In my work I 'm in and out of big trucks, pick ups, under houses, over rocks, swamps. out of work I hunt around cliffs and deep woods fish in ponds and rivers along with welding splitting wood working on cars a little bit of everything these boots are put threw it all including harsh chemicals such as oil gas degreaser and so on and amazingly hold up very well, most work boots only last about a year bu these put up with it for a little over 2 years with me trying to see how tough they where. I have bought a second pair and fully believe with actually taking care of them like they should be and not intentionally abusing them till they are torn apart they should last for years also very comfortable love these looking forward to getting another pair but insulated for winter

[ My wife and I have been avid hikers for about 6 years now, and frequently travel to Colorado and Arizona for most of our trips. We just finished up a trip to Arizona- my first hike using my new Timberland Trailquests. I wish I had bought these boots years ago. I assumed they might be a bit stiff and take some time to break in, but I was overly impressed by their immediate comfort. Unlike some of my previous boots that proved to be bulky and heavy, the Trailquest boot is lightweight while remaining extremely supportive, and the sole's design assists with stable traction during the more challenging parts of your hike. On top of being an exceptionally functional boot, they are also visually appealing and draw compliments from other hikers. [ These are great hiking shoes by Danner. Good arch support and lots of room in the toe area. I walk 25 miles a week in the hills on pavement. I 've had issues with my feet in the past, but not in these shoes. My feet feel great after wearing all day. I love them so much, I bought another pair. I wear an 8. 5 in a shoe, but wear a 9 in these shoes as with most athletic shoes.

[ Some reviewers mentioned these fit snuggly, so I was cautious because I do have quite wide feet. I 'm glad I took the risk because though I do find it helps to make use of a shoe horn to ease putting them on, with thin running socks they fit just right! Snug but not too tight. I have arthritic knees, and these have the perfect combination of cushion and stability for walking on a variety of terrain, from light hiking trails to gravel to sidewalk. I had wished for different color options, but when they arrived I found the salmon color quite striking, so I 'm quite pleased with that in the end too.

I tried other brands, Merrell, Keen, Columbia, and all either hurt or gave me blisters so I continued to go back to a comfortable pair of 10 yr old Skechers which had many miles on them. The Danner Women's Trail 2650 shoes are perfect right out of the box, so comfortable, no break in needed, and I will be ordering the waterproof version as well.

I ’ ve been wearing some iteration of the shoe daily since 2019. I like that they have streamlined the shoe's look, making them a little less chunky. I have flat feet and wear an insert. I use Keen ’s when I will be on my feet all day, and for all my daily activities. Great for walking on trails and slippery surfaces!

When I took them out of the box, I thought that they looked liked they were made of plastic. If they are made of leather the quality seemed very low. Most of the plastic quality made them very stiff. I tried walking around the house in them to see if they would soften up but the sides rubbed against my ankles. I didn ’ t think that would improve so I packed them up and returned them.
