[ Aside from looking like a regular pair of training shoes, these are amazing on the trails! The tread is light enough to be able to run short distances( I ’ ve done about 5 miles mostly incline so far), but also grips and helps with stability on uneven dirt paths. The insoles are comfortable and can be worn on walks and while running errands. They also blend in perfectly with a gym or athleisure outfits which is my favorite part about them. Only “ con ” I have noticed so far is that they feel a little tight in the vamp area( I have pretty narrow feet)- hoping a little wear and tear and fixing the laces a little more will help.

I bought the shoes because we own 2 large Golden Doodles who need to go outside or be walked several times a day. Sometimes we run. These shoes have gone thru mud, snow, puddles, and more, and never missed a beat. My feet stayed dry and I just rinsed the shoes upon returning inside and good as new. I normally wear a 7. 5, but sized up to an 8 and the fit is perfect. I really like the extra room in the toebox, so I can wiggle my toes. However, the shoes do tend to run a bit narrow, so just a heads up if you have a wide foot. The shoes easily accomodated my orthotic once I pulled out the insole provided.( Hey, Nike, these shoes should have a unglued, easily removable, insole!) Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase.

I 've done about 30 miles on the AT with these boots now and I am a happy camper. They are extremely lightweight for a boot this size and the waterproofing is excellent. The trail was muddy during an unusually warm spell in February. Lots of snowmelt left mud and puddles everywhere and I felt no need to look for higher ground- I just trudged right through. I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

I love these hiking shoes! I took them hiking in the PNW, and they were very supportive and still held up really well on very rocky trails. They especially felt very good descending on hikes, they did not hurt your toes like a lot of other shoes/boots do. I ordered a half size up, but they are pretty true to size. They are waterproof, expect for the mesh on top. They were perfect!

I climb Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona every day. It's 5- miles, 2, 400' of granite boulders with no soft places, no dirt, only sharp- edged rocks to tear up your boots. The mountain has torn up many lesser shoes and shredded all competitors. I 've hiked with XA Pro 3D for ten years and recently switched to the Ultra 360( same shoe, better padding). Everyone I 've recommended them to has stuck with them. Nothing comes close! I highly recommend these for tough terrain.( They 'll probably do great at easy terrain too, but I do n't go there.)

I bought these for rainy day runs but have loved them for everything! The fit is nice overall, maybe a little tighter tie box than I ’ m used to for running but still roomy enough to be comfortable. On walks and runs these guys keep my feet so warm and dry! I ’ m actually going to buy a second pair bc they are soooo worth it!
