I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. [ For starters, Hestra ’s size selection allows for a more precise fit. Any 3 finger model is a slight compromise over a mitt for warmth, but you can always bring your index finger in as needed. They are reasonably warm, though not expedition gloves, and I expect to throw in warmers for temps in the low single digits( F), or below. The wrist/cuff adjustments function well. The soft leather makes for a very supple feel and were fairly nimble when tinkering with gear. The wrist strap/handcuffs were overkill for me and swapped with a traditional straps. Have n't owned long enough to attest to the durablity.

I do love the new gloves. I used the size chart and I feel like the XL was the right size for me. The look and material are of a high quality. They keep me warm in cold conditions skiing. For future builds I wish:- They had a zipper pouch for hand warmer and doubles as a vent. I would recommend these gloves and would purchase again.

[ Great glove. Have been using for skiing on temperatures close to- 10C and can barely feel the cold. The leather is a bit stiff at the beggining and it take some time to break to your hand.
