A little background- back in July, I started on my weight loss journey. Even though I was going to the gym 2- 3 times a day and working full time, I would often use a reusable grocery bag to hold my gear. In September, I hit my goal of 25 pounds and treated myself to a new bag. I needed a bag that: 1. Did n't look like a gym bag. I did n't want a duffle look since I had to take this with me into work as well 2. Was big enough to actually fit clothes. Some days I would have two pairs of shoes, a swimming suit, towel, hoodie and regular clothes in addition to the gym clothes I was already wearing. 3. Had different compartments to hide my valuables. I put my wallet in my bag rather than bring a purse, so I needed a way to keep them safe as well. I did a lot of research, and I found this bag. The price was right, but it was online only. I had some concerns if it would be as big as I needed. Well, it turns out that it surpassed my expectations! This has been the best bag I could have asked for. It can handle all my needs and then some. I use the front pocket for toiletries, middle pocket for my wallet and the big pocket for my clothes/water bottle. My keys and phone go in a side pocket, and I 've had no issues. The best part is how easy it is to carry. I 've found with duffles or other bags that I would throw it on a shoulder that would then fall off. With this, I have no issues. It's so easy to adjust and throw on( or into the car). AND it does n't look super obvious at work that I 'm working out. So while there are a lot of reviews for this bag from student athletes, it gets a thumbs up from an adult gym rat too!

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I 'm fairly petite and often find backpacks are too big for me... this pack fits great( I ordered a couple different packs and this is the one I kept). I specifically bought it for a trip to Europe to use on the plane and when out and about. It fit everything I needed and I appreciated the multiple pockets for organizing. Only one of the side pockets will hold a water bottle since one is too short( 24oz owala fit perfect, 32oz hydro flask was a tighter fit). I liked how the zippers for the largest two compartments could hide behind the water bottle to be less conspicuous while traveling and I was also able to use a small cable lock on them. My 15 '' hp laptop does n't fit in the laptop pocket inside the pack, but does fit loose in the main compartment.

Great bag. Great size. I bought this bag to replace another 40L bag I had for work and daily use. I was looking for a bag that had plenty of room in a main compartment, while also being able to hold a laptop and smaller items( pens, small tools, notepad). This bag fit the need great. I recently traveled across the country with it and it held up great. The straps and back panel make it comfortable to wear, the roll top makes throwing and grab large items easy, and it did well holding up to a light snow flurry while I was out( though I feel the material would struggle with a heavy soak). I bike commute and found this bag to be useful even to throw a few groceries in on the way home. Overall if you 're looking for a good size do anything bag this is a good fit.

[ I ’ ve had this new backpack for a little over a month now and I ’ m really enjoying it. From a work standpoint, there ’s a cushioned area for my laptop, iPad& other work files in the main pocket. In the secondary pocket that is sealed with Velcro, I carry all of my laptop cords and other miscellaneous supplies. I ’ m surprised how well the Velcro seals and nothing falls out. The side zipper allows me quick access to whatever I need. On top there is a small zipper pocket for my pens, pencils, and a calculator. There is also a water bottle holder on each side. But what I like most about this bag is the blaze orange interior, which helps me to see items that get buried in the bottom of the bag that would normally be difficult to see if it was lined in black. This is ingenious as I ’ ve never had a backpack with this coloration on the interior. I thought it would be annoying, but it is very helpful. I ’ m new to mystery ranch, but I am now hooked on their products! I have a new hunting backpack that I recently purchased, and it is outstanding! I use this backpack for school, it's great for my computer and I can trust that the fabrics wo n't tear with time. I absolutely love the color choices and it's definitely worth the price. I would n't really change much about this product.

[ I just used my fair point 40 and the day pack for a trip to Europe. London, Zurich, Interlaken, Paris and Omaha Beach. I had zero issues flying without checking my bags. We did a lot of train transfers and walked a whole bunch with our gear. It was easy to use and very comfortable to wear. I have no cons about this set up. I am going to get my wife a rig like it. Switching from backpack to carry satchel is effortless and vise versa. I highly recommend this product.

[ I took the Farpoint as my one bag on a four- stop, two week trip to Greece. The pack was phenomenal. I had no issues with taking it as a carry- on on any airline. Packing the bag is straightforward and intuitive. The carry comfort is the best I have experienced and excellent for navigating the many steps and hills encountered during my trip. Overall, this is the best travel pack I have used.

I haven ’ t had the chance to travel with this bag yet but it looks great. Lots of pockets. Feels comfortable as a backpack as well as while being carried by the handles.

[ This is a cool backpack. I like the slash resistant bottom for thwarting would- be thrives. The green interior helps when searching for stuff inside. Lots of pockets, sturdy zippers, solid straps. I would rather a metal ring where the backpack starps clip to instead of the canvas loop, but hey, so far it's holding. I may just throw my own on there... This does n't have to be a ladies only bag. Mine works as a backpack and a messenger bag. I can put all sorts of stuff in it, though I typically keep my glasses, Chromebook, wallet, keys, phone, and associated tech stuff in it. Anyway, who really cares. It works well.

I bought this to carry on vacation so I had somewhere to store all my stuff while traveling. I love the sturdy construction, the safety features, and the perfect size for my water bottle/tablet/wallet/brush/etc. Fantastic purchase decision!
