I usually opt for linerless shorts and athletic boxer briefs. These are everything in one. The benefit of these shorts is that the outer shorts are attached to the inner liner. The pockets on these shorts stays put. I have another pair of Nike running shorts and the pocket liner pokes out the bottom when I put my phone in there. So annoying. The only thing I 'd change is the advertised phone pocket in the back is much too small for my iPhone Max. Otherwise these are perfect.
