I bought these from Dick's. I would give these 5 stars for weight and their effect- 3 stars for comfort( but I 'm not surprised and I wanted heavy weights). What I mean by comfort is: because these weights are heavy, you wo n't want to jump around in them( and you should n't- you can damage joints doing that). If they are uncomfortable- get something to wrap around your ankle( leggings/ thicker socks) if it bugs you( these are heavy weights on each ankle). A couple times a week, I mostly use these for slow `` karate '' type kicks in various planes, leg lifts and other leg/ glute poses/exercises on my Pilates reformer or as I do other leg lifts, glute exercises. It immensely amplifies the workout. When I put on the `` regular '' ankle weights( or use no weights at all) there is no comparison to using these. These stay on well and take a minute to strap on- but could be better padded on the inside, is all, but they work as expected. I 'm glad to own these. So that is 5 stars then.
