These are super comfortable and very lightweight for a mid hiking shoe. The outer is only slightly tougher than a normal running shoe, but waterproof. Of course the outsole is much grippier. I took a chance and wore these on a day out in the city- walking several hours on concrete, inside buildings, up and down stairs. I had no issues with them, even with the sizing being a bit off, I had zero blisters with thin socks. They were extremely comfortable out of the box, and I did n't even need to replace the insole with orthotics like I normally do with new shoes. I love that they are waterproof, but still look very cute, and breathe. I do n't know that I would run/jog in these, but I can definitely see myself hiking in them.

[ Oh man, these are the comfiest shoes that I own. I bought these mostly as travel slippers( my dogs do n't let me have nice things at home) and I hate taking them off. I wear them on longhaul flights( change out my shoes once we are in the air) and it 's easy to wipe down the soles after they touch the lav floors before wearing them at gueshouses, hostels, and in other peoples homes. I love that the back of the shoe can be stomped on or slipped over the heel, depending on what I need at the moment. They are on the pricier side for slippers but they have been totally worth it for me.

On our trip, they proved to be waterproof( at least up the ankle of course) and had a great fit. I first broke them in on our trip and they were very comfortable. I ’ ve used them again and again on hiking adventures and just for regular use and they ’ re awesome! I have wide feet and they didn ’ t feel as tight as other reviews have mentioned. These are my new go to shoes. I had a pair of croc stride lites that were falling apart after a few years of everyday use. Unfortunately, that style was discontinued and their other stride lites just do n't have the same footbed at all, so I was searching for a new casual shoe to wear every day and on trips. I can tell you that after a few different styles, I have found it. This shoe is wide enough for my feet to swell a little bit, after walking several miles, and has a very mild arch, which is perfect for my flat feet. I love every pair of Allbirds I have( 5 I think!). I got these for walking and am normally a pretty basic colors sort of person. Allbirds are bringing me out of my shell. While they look like they lace, they are actually slip on shoes and the laces are for looks. I like that. I went up 1/2 size because my other Allbirds are pretty snug across the top of my high instep when I wear even the lightest socks. All others I have bought my usual 6 1/2 M and I am happy to wear them all day every day without socks. The insole is comfortable enough and the slip ons are like wearing gloves. They offer perfect support for my high arch and my feet do n't get tired after a whole day of wearing them. I also love the ability to take out the insoles and wash them when the white soles get dirty. I 'm definitely an Allbirds fanatic at this point.
