I really wanted a slip on boot for running to the gym, etc. I wanted them to be waterproof so they would last longer than a season and I was so thrilled when I saw these. They are a little stiffer to get on, but they come off very easy. I am so excited about them. I usually wear an 8. 5 in the regular boots, and a 9 in any of the snowboot type shoes Sorel makes. OMG I CAN NOT say enough about these boots.... I will be ordering them in all 3 colors. I had yet to find a hiking boot that didnt cause me foot pain, blisters, or hot spots.... until now. These fit my feet perfectly. The toe box is typically where i struggle with hiking boots- blisters and pain of the great toe and medial ball of foot. Even while breaking these in I did not experience either of these issues. My original pair of Bearpaws for wide calves( different make) is starting to wear out after 5 winters. I found a wide pair I liked, and bought it in the same size. No issues at all! These boots actually fit those of us with wide calves( and feet). I really appreciate that the ankle tapers in a bit, instead of being the same diameter as the leg shaft. The waterproofing and stain- resistance has worked so far. I like that they 're real fur and leather, which is much better for the environment than faux. The wool inside is so cozy and keeps my feet warm without overheating. It's going to be very cold where I live over the next few days- high temps in the teens- so I guess the real test is coming. If you 're on the fence about these, just buy them.
