I 've had a chance to take this out for three skis with an infant in the Chariot. Felt great to get out on the trails and have the little one sleeping behind me. Pros: The stability of the Chariot is great, and having them up off the ground helps to keep them warmer that a ground- based pulk. Installation is super simple and you can even wax the skis to maximize glide. Also nice to be able to store a few extra things for you or the child in the pulk's ample cargo spaces. Cons: There's no dampening system between the pulk and the skier, so any bumps/accelerations/decelerations experience by the pulk are translated to the skiers hips. This take a little bit of getting used to, but after a bit, is fine. Despite Thule trying to make the system as light- weight as possible, it's still heavy and will only get more- so as the child grows; this makes the uphills a slog( but downhills are awesome!).

The problem with almost all single ski bags: 1) carrying straps that are too short for over the shoulder. 2) straight zipper closure which makes it harder to get fat skis into the bag, much less easily see what's inside. This bag's straps are a perfect medium length for either side carry or over the shoulder. And the zipper is rectangular so the top opens wide to easily pack and see what's inside. Comfortable, functional and well thought- out pack. Gregory did a great job in designing this pack and it was definitely designed by folks who do BC ski touring. To begin, the pack is quite comfortable with loads. You can fit items in this pack much more easily than other ski touring packs I 've tried. While it's not the lightest, for the size and carry capacity, it is light! I did n't think I 'd use the Fast Track ski carry option, but on my second tour with it, I was using it bunches on the ascent. The FT is awkward if you 're descending, at least for me at 5' 9 ''. The shovel, probe compartment is very ample as well but beware that components can kind of slip out of this compartment when you take off your pack, set it down, etc. Very happy and impressed!

I used it for backcountry skiing the fit and how it proformed when skinning or skiing excellent. Its only top accessible, and a lack of easy acces pocket for avalanche equipment. Note I knew it was n't a dedicated ski pack wanted something larger then what was available. Was able to comfortably carry and ski with heavier loads. I enjoyed 50 days of skiing something like 35 of them were backcountry here in Alaska. Skiing adventures from Hatcher pass, with lots of local runs near Anchorage, and some trips to Turnagain pass.

[ I had a new Atmos 50L pack and started using it for winter hiking the NH 4K foot mts. It was too big for me as I had the wrong size and not great for winter hiking. The mutant works very well. I have hiked two mts with it so far, with full traction mounted to outside ~28lbs. Attaching snow shoes, crampons and micro spikes works well with all the external attachment straps. The shallow side pockets help hold my hiking poles when needed. The large top is easy to get into, a is the main compartment. I can easily put layers under the top to hold during a layer break. The pack is comfortable and handles very well with the 28lbs. I like the flat back, it is warmer than a mesh and doesn ’ t trap snow. My only complain is the shoulder straps are narrow and do not come down far, which limits what I can attach ti them. My snack bottle works but even in lowest loop is up high. And the loops are small. The front straps are a bit thin, but work fine for holding a crampon bag or even the snow shoes I was concerned that the lower padding on hips and waist would not be as comfortable as the atmos. But not so, I don ’ t even notice it, the the mutant is much easier to get into and out off.

[ I bought one of these bags, along with a full size( 127L) version, for a couple of international trips. I knew I wanted a DB Snow Roller after reading reviews online, but my main question was whether to go with the 70L or the 127L, so I 'll focus my review on the differences between these two versions. Both are great quality bags that are extremely durable. Here are some pros and cons when comparing this 70L bag to the 127L bag version. Pros:- The bag is significantly smaller( obviously). While the length can end up being the same since they can roll/fold up to match the length of your skis, the 70L is significantly narrower. This can make it easier to fit them into the back of rental cars, etc.- Pretty much all of the space is usable if you plan to keep your weight under the 50 lb checked bag limit. Whether you fit two sets of skis into the bag, or just one set and add in clothes, gear, you can stuff it pretty full without going over the weight limit. With the 127L version, once you have 2 sets of skis and poles, and 1 set of boots in the bag, you are at the weight limit with a lot of unused space left in the bag. Cons:- The hooks that allow you to shorten the top of the bag are not removable and are only attached at the very end of the bag. This means that the top of the 70L bag folds over rather than rolls up like the 127L version. This is n't a huge deal, but it does limit the adjustability of the bag a little bit compared to the 127L version.- A bigger issue is that there is no removable strap/handle provided for the 70L to attach to the top of the bag once it is folded over. The 127L version uses a removeable handle that can be attached after the bag is rolled up. This gives you a great handle to hold onto when you wheel the bag around. The 70L version does n't have anything once it is folded over, so you are stuck trying to bare hand it, or somehow slip you arm under the folded flap and drag it that way. I ended up buying some carabiners and a paracord handle online and making my own, which ended up working out, but the fact that it is n't provided with the bag is a bit frustrating.- Also, there are no lifting handles along the length of the bag. The 127L has full- on handles in the middle of the bag that make it so you can lift it up from the middle. The 70L has no handles, so you are stuck using the straps that run vertically all the way down the bag in order to lift it. However, the straps are not in the center of the side of the bag, so when you lift it by the straps, it is somewhat awkward and off balance, which makes it difficult to carry for any distance without rolling it( ie up a flight of stairs, etc).- The zipper on the 70L is a single uni- directional zipper. The 127L bag has dual zippers, so you can zip/unzip the bag to either end of the zipper. The 70L only has a single zipper, so it is always at one end when open and the other when closed.- The 70L is just barely too small to be able to fit a pair of boots for most people. With one pair of skis and poles in the bag, I am able to just barely get my wife's ski boots to fit in the bag and get it zipped close. However, I can not get my ski boots to fit. It would be great if you could get the boots to fit for those short trips when you do n't need a lot of gear. Overall, both bags are incredibly durable and great for keeping your gear safe. They are super easy to wheel around and my gear arrived without any damage or issues. The issues I have with them are pretty nitpicky, and despite them, I still think these are the best bags I 've tried.

I needed a mid- size bag for a full day of multi- pitch climbing, crag hopping, and lots of hiking in between. Priorities were lightweight, supportive, wearable while climbing, and water bladder compatibility. This bag fits the bill on all of those and is built to comfortably accommodate a harness while being to easily access gear. Where it missed the mark for me was that it's built for a male body. I tried as many adjustments as much as possible but as a 5' 4 '' '' female I could n't get the right fit. I hope osprey recognizes an untapped market and creates female versions of these technical bags some day, like they do for hiking bags!

Love this rack overall. Larger weight capacity, more convenient storing( foldable) and it has locks. Three primary boxes checked! I also like the accessories that are available, making this a very versatile rack! Opportunities: One issue is that it does n't lock in the upright position when your bikes are n't loaded.( I usually leave my rack on my hitch from spring to fall. Not'ny more!) Granted, this `` minus '' is minor because it's simple to hitch and unhitch. I just assumed this would be a default feature on any hitch rack. Another observation is a narrower zone per bike. The distance tray- to- tray is on the EPOS is 9. 5 '' vs 11. 5 '' on my older T2 Pro XT. We have 2 e- bikes, which are pretty big. For this reason, we exchanged our EPOS for the EPOS 3. Now I 'm happy!

I 've had this carrier for many years, and it's still in use. I 've had up to five boats attached to this thing, and probably could have gotten away with six, but we did n't have another one to throw up top. My current vehicle is limited to only three kayaks due to the design of the vehicle's roof rack. As long as the roof rack is wide enough, it will handle four kayaks. As a side note, I only carried the five kayaks for a few miles under 35 mph! But with four up top, it 'll handle freeway speeds just fine so long as your roof system can handle it. Thule, keep making this thing!

I have had the stacker for a good 15 years now, I love it, I can get 1 to 4 kayaks on my car. Other kayak racks only allow you to put one kayak apparatus, and even if you bought multiple, you could never get more than two kayaks. Wouldn ’ t change a thing

Works Great for fitting multiple boats on a rack. If you are going to put one boat on each side I would recommend buying a set of the 15 ft. load straps. If you are putting this on an Xsporter remember to use the Xadapt 3 adapter kit. There is a link to it in the technical specifcations area on this page. After exhaustive research on all eBike racks, it came down to Saris, QuikrStuff, and Inno tire holder type racks. SOOOO many racks to choose from, it gave me a headache. Customer Service answered many questions and took care of my order, very friendly staff. So, the main reason for Saris was design& value of the single tray. PLUS it has something no other manufacturer had: integrated cable lock! Inno customer service was non- existent. QuikrStuff was super pricey with a 6 month wait. The Saris single rack set up weighs in at 56 lbs, ebike weighs 58 lbs, so total weight was lighter 90 lbs lighter than me. Easy to mount to my Ford Maverick. I have owned this rack for about a month now. Its super solid and easily configured for up to 4 bikes which is why i bought it. My only issue is with the upper wheel wedge when used on road bikes with smaller width tires. The wedge just sort of sits on the back tire when the arm is engaged vs. wrapping around the tire. If the wedge were designed slightly differently or there was an alternate wedge for thinner road tires i would be a little more comfortable with it.

Amazing tray system! The connection between tray and hitch mech is simple and very secure. Love that is comes with threaded lock pin. Love the long locking cables. Love that the tray rotates all the way down down to be used as a bike rack while bikes are unloaded. Love the 4 tray setting points on the hitch mech. I did like they way the previous model trays could collapse to make the entire assembly smaller.

The MH2 replaced my old Thule Carrier. The Thule was great and honestly the only issue I had was it's age and the fact that with the longer MTB of today you were pushing the length of bike you could carry. The MH2 system does n't have that issue and this rack is rated to carry Bike( if you 're into that thing). The lever to lift or drop the tray is light enough my wife can do it with little effort. Everything about the rack has been thought about including the cable lock tightly hiding away with a small rubber outer layer to keep things from rattling.

This is my second time reviewing this product — the first written shortly after misplacing one of the rubber bumpers between the rack and stays while in a frustrated frame of mind; incidentally, the missing piece just resurfaced following a month of hiding between the coils of my apartment ’s radiator. — during the interim I had been using a DIY substitute part I crafted from an inner tube. Yes- the bumpers are prone to falling out when putting on and removing the rack and this is pretty annoying. But the fact is this rack is, overall, a fine product! Anyway, combined my two reviews average a rating of four stars and I would say that this is accurate. Would still be great if replacements for the bumper were available for online purchase but there are DIY workarounds such as using a comparably- shaped section of inner tube. Fantastic! Works great in any snow that you can reasonably XC or skate ski on. Pulling feels pretty light even when loaded with a 30lb toddler, water, and spare ice skates. Skis are smooth and don ’ t stick. Relatively easy to manage downhills. When ice skating, I try to preserve the skis and use the standard wheels with the ski kit body strap. That works great! Comfort tip: Make sure the pin clasps that attach the poles to the waistband point up, otherwise they may dig into hips or unclasp. While the burley itself doesn ’ t fold down easily, I really love how fast and easy it is to rearrange attachments depending on activity and conditions. Super quick set up! Best addition for winter by far. Loads of fun!
