A good place would be when I purchased these bad boys during my time working at Cabela's 4 years ago . Once I placed these glorious looking fiends on a display rack, I knew I had to have them . The leather has worn in so amazingly, that I forget I 'm wearing them sometimes . I have worn the soles down to being almost flat, now, and have swapped out insoles for some Meindl ones, but man, insoles only do so much . I have worn these at several jobs, ranging from my mechanic work, to the tarmac as ground crew for an airline, and they are still solid, no tears, rips, anything!( there is some stuffing from the belly of the airplanes when I was stuck on my knees, but it does matter to me, they still look great!) [ I ’ ve been seeking for a pair of shoes that are comfortable to walk in long distance, can maintain its support, and ultimately be my go- to walking shoes for the 1+ hr daily walks with my dog . I ’ m usually splitting my time between three different pairs of shoes for these daily walks- leather Jordans for when it ’s slightly wet outside, rain boots when it ’s really wet, and knitted running shoes for the nicer days in case we want to jog at any point during the walk . Because the Gore- Tex is versatile, it was able to address all three case needs and I have been wearing it every day for the past two weeks since I got them . The inside is not as soft like some other shoes but it ’s also not too hard like walking on the cement directly . There is a slight bounce that gives me comfort in knowing that the shoe is absorbing some shock from my footsteps and when I found myself at the beach with them on, I was pleasantly surprised that water and sand did not seep into the front of shoes like it normally would ’ ve with the knits( mind that I didn ’ t walk into the ocean with them on and am referring to an occasional splash while walking on the shore) . As for the design, I thought that the little weather icons on the shoelaces was a cute yet settled detail . I was worried that shoes like this would make my feet look clunky, but it ’s giving more of the contemporary fashion with an edge of construction workwear . Highly recommend them for a daily wear! I have yet to test them in arduous hiking or heavy downpours but my impression is that these will satisfy my daily walking needs longer than most other shoes .

Goo pair of she ’s . I am a beginner level runner . In these, I did a 5k and a 10k run so far . They are light and the cushion is better than my peg 39 shield pair . Not tried in the winter rain yet, will see that parth in warmer days . They are warm to feel in the cold weather . The soles are same as my peg 39 shield and storm tread sole is excellent for grip in wet or smooth surfaces, but the price is, it ’s impossible to clean once you got mud in . After knee surgery in November, staying off my feet for 3 months and being told running would not likely be in my future; I bought these shoes and got back to my local trail runs . Could be my new favorite shoe! Originally purchased for my longer runs or speed works as i train for a few 100 mile races in 2025 . There ’s only one problem, i don ’ t want to take this thing off! If they were cheaper i would be buying another pair just to walk around it .

[ Aside from looking like a regular pair of training shoes, these are amazing on the trails! The tread is light enough to be able to run short distances( I ’ ve done about 5 miles mostly incline so far), but also grips and helps with stability on uneven dirt paths . The insoles are comfortable and can be worn on walks and while running errands . They also blend in perfectly with a gym or athleisure outfits which is my favorite part about them . Only “ con ” I have noticed so far is that they feel a little tight in the vamp area( I have pretty narrow feet)- hoping a little wear and tear and fixing the laces a little more will help .

Good running shoe . The ride( fit) of these shoes surprised me . The bounce is what I needed when it is cold outside and you do n't feel like running . The support is good also . Will get another pair .
