This water bottle works fine and has yet to leak, so long as you get the cap. on correctly. It has an oring inside the lid that can fall out though, and if it does, it 'll leak. The threads on the lid also are somewhat difficult to align. Once filled and capped it works fine and keeps drinks relatively cool in the heat. The hanging clips are also great for keeping it in easy access and avoiding getting kicked all over a dugout.

I normally carry around a stainless steel 25 oz. water bottle on my backpack and around in the car but it was a bit of a hassle for the gym. I ordered this bottle for that purpose and it fit the bill. I can mix in Amino Acid powder and drink easily from it. The cap arm has tension to hold it back when drinking and the handle is excellent. The rubber base is a great feature as well for stability when standing it up but it does n't fit in the car cup holder, the only downside. The texture on the cap is easy to grip. I 'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

I read the reviews before purchasing and almost went with the older model even though I really liked the color options and silicone bumper included with this one. Reviews said that the bottle sweated a lot and that the new ice blocker spout prevented water from flowing and the cap from being cleaned properly. None of that is true for me. I recently went on a backpacking trip to Sykes hot springs in Big Sur where I knew that 1. 5 L water bottle is the minimum size I needed. I did n't want to carry a large collapsible bottle so I took this 2 L one with me. It's so easy and convenient to fill this one in streams/ rivers you can hold a bottle by the side handle and due to the wide 42 mm opening it's a breeze to fill in water there. I then clip a combo of different adapters: hydrapak Plug and Play adapter, hydrapak filter adapter, filter from peakgravity, and sawyer sp 150 coupling. Then I attach it to plastic water bottle and leave it or press on the bottle to speed up a process a little bit. So far this is a very convenient way to filter the water for me. Maybe not super fast but I feel safe with this setup.
