I have n't been an active cyclist in about 7 years. I am finally getting geared up again. My experience with smartphone holders in the past was terrible. I knew that manufacturers just had n't figured out a good solution yet. Zippers, bags with plastic screen protectors that did n't work, one size DID NOT fit all, especially for Android. Then I found this. Although it's not battle tested by me yet, this design is superb. I 'm so impressed by the stem mount option. Other reviews say it breaks easily. I sure hope my experience is better. I am so stoked.

I 've had a hard time deciding between getting a soft padded case vs hard case for my bike. I went with a hard case because I want that extra peace of mind that my bike would be protected during the transport. Yes it is heavy, and I do n't mind paying the overbaggage fee vs opening the case and seeing my bike wrecked. I have n't used the case yet for travelling but I can tell it is bullet proof enough to withstand the baggage handlers throwing it around and getting slammed around the plane's cargo area. If you want the peace of mind that your precious bike will be in one piece when you get to your destination, go for a hard case, and the Thule Transition is one of the best cases out there. I like how it has the stands to transform it into a bike repair stand, may need to put foam padding on where the straps would go onto the bike to avoid rubbing.

I travel with the case 3 4 times per year. I have never had my bike damaged in any way using this case. Its larger than other cases I have used, but airlines charge the same price so I would rather have a slightly larger case to know my bike is properly protected.

I ’ ve added them into the middle of the bike and it holds well, as long as tightened. Makes the bike look cooler and nice to change grips while riding. I can ’ t remember the last time i wore a helmet. However my husband wears a helmet on almost every ride. When i started joining him frequently on rides last year, my husband asked if I wanted a helmet, and i declined. This summer on one of our first rides my husband handed me a verona helmet in blue. I was not excited but put it on. I was in awe at how well it fit and felt. Not heavy but comfortable and secure. On the first ride it did not move about on my head or i interfere with my sun glasses.
