Really love how fast it heats up compared to charcoal and wood. Will be trying a few things like baking bread. Being able to control the temp is a must. Didn ’ t have any issues with the burner staying lit as described in other reviews. you def have to hold the knob for 5 seconds, I ’ m assuming there is some kind of thermocouple that permits the gas to stay on? Got the oven up to 880° with the flu open so it should hit 900°+ with it closed.

MAURICIO C.
[ I love baking my pizzas with wood. However, gas is a way more practical and clean solution. The gas burner works very well, is easy to operate, and easier to control the temperature.
5

[ Sticking to wood for now. Gas will be backup. Trying to figure out how to put some Oak or Hickory chips near the gas burner or on the stone to start smoking some and get the wood fired flavor and the best of both worlds. Something for the engineers to figure out at Ooni.

Ashish M.
[ Been using wood and charcoal for a couple of years- but in the winter the oven never gets hot enough. The burner installed easily and worked great to get a nice hot oven that made amazing pizzas. Have to use it more and learn to regulate the temp up and down- but really loved the burner and the output

[ This part is a must have if you ’ re planning on doing several pizzas. It ’s too hard to manage the firebox for long term use and keep everyone eating pizzas consecutively.

[ Works as it should. Can get back of stone up to 850°, front low 7s. Have been using in pretty cool temps so that may make a difference. Recommended to keep front door off makes it a little harder to heat I would imagine. Satisfied overall though- it ’s quick and easy if you don ’ t feel like messing with wood.

[ We love our Karu12. We had a different one before, and the flame was so difficult to manage. This is simple, easy to use and produces consistent results. You do have to manage the flame, which is easy, but we haven ’ t burned one yet.

I have had my Explorer for 7 years now and it is going strong! We went from tent to Pop- up to Travel Trailer now and have only cooked on our CC. My Father- in- law and 2 brothers- in- law also have them. Have almost all of the accessories. My only issue is that it seems to get heavier every year?! LOL It IS the only thing we cook on, period! I also bought a CC WW smoker and the 600FTG as well!

It also heats up water for dishes and cocao pretty fast! Looking back I wish I had also purchased the single burner griddle and the leg levelers. Overall a great stove. Great Stove. I own three total, but this one is our elk camp stove. We use it 3 weeks per year and it's buried in a stash on our property the rest of the year. We also have the two burner and three burner griddle that have lasted since our very first three burner stove over 20 years ago.

Trip Leader
I purchased the Everest 2X based on feedback from other trip leaders in my non profit group. This stove works great for fast cooking for a group and our organization is using these stoves to replace Coleman stoves. The stove goes through propane faster than Coleman stoves however so bring plenty of fuel if cooking for a group in the field. Stove is easy to set up, light and sturdy in windy conditions. So far it is everything I could want in a camp stove, looking forward to using it on upcoming trips.

Our family has several stoves ranging in size for backpacking and kayaking to car camping to portable cooking for large crowds. This single burner is great by itself or in combo with a two burner or another single burner for weekend camping. You save the room on your picnic table and the power of this stove boils water in a jiffy for coffee and cooks up breakfast for six in a jiffy using the single burner griddle( sold separately) on medium low heat. We very rarely use our table top stoves anymore- the quality at 30k BTU output more than makes up for the added bulk if you have room. Get yourself a two burner with griddle and bbq box and save this one for pans and coffee making on an open flame so you do n't have to swap out accessories. You 'll be able to cook for the entire camp! We have a dedicated 5lb tank for this and it will last a week with regular cooking. I do n't give out five stars easily- this unit earns every single one.

Used mine this morning because we had a power outage and was reflecting on how great a stove this has been. We bought ours in 2018 for an extended power outage after a hurricane. We ’ ve since used it for lots of camping trips. It still looks nearly brand new after years of use. It cooks well, is easy and simple to use, and makes the most out of a can of butane. The storage case has also held up really well. I think this is super handy to have even if you ’ re not camping. Great for when the powers out, for a picnic, or even travel. 100% recommend!!!
