[ Bought about 2 months ago and have had it in every trip so far very useful and handy and can carry my iPad and laptop! Good quality build and love the netting part it ’s stretchy I can fit to light jackets and a water bottle.

This pack surprised me on the upside. For my daily needs, I only need 16 liters, but I carry a 13 '' laptop and want good organization. This pack delivers. It's a very good design and great materials. Well thought out internal organization. My only gripe is the fabric used for the top quick access pocket feels like cheap sweatshirt material. It wo n't scratch sunglasses, but I 'd prefer something a little nicer. That said, I give this pack a thumbs up.

Emily
It is exactly what I was looking for in an everyday pack that I can also use for day hikes. The pockets are great, the straps are all adjustable and there even a whistle on the chest strap. Lots of options for attachment of items such as poles on the exterior of the pack. I love the small fleece pocket at the top of the bag. The outer pocket is great for putting wet or smelly items in. The water bottle pockets can be a bit of squeeze if you have a full pack for a Nalgene but it still fits. There is also a hole for a hydration bladder to fit through. Overall great pack for everyday life and day adventures! Love it.

Great bag to put my fishing tackle box and other small items in as well as a water bottle for a day trip
5

Bought this pack a few months ago as a dayhike/laptop bag. Works great for both. My only disappointment was the trekking pole loops, which FUNCTION, but I typically carry them in one of the side stretch pockets as the bungees are not especially robust. Do not expect to be able to carry more than a rain jacket, down jacket, and a few essentials.

I was looking for a medium size pack for an overnight summit trip and this fits the bill. I like the decent size water bottle pockets on the side, hydration bladder support( that doubles as laptop pocket if not used) and the hideable waist straps. I also like the hidden mesh pocket for jacket/wet things. I wish there ’s a soft bottle pockets on the shoulder strap. The only minor annoyance I found was the thin zipper pulls are hard to find. But I love everything else about the bag.

Very nice looking backpack I got for my wife as a Christmas present. It ’s was on a big discount so that part was a plus in the beginning. Good features, practical and great quality materials as usual in a Mountain Hardware product.

Its amazing, fits everything I need it to, the double handles are suprisingly useful, it fits nalgenes, and the stowable mesh is super handy for carrying rain jacket and gym shoes, have n't used it for hiking yet but i 'm sure it 'll be great
5
Courtney
Great pack, love the color, great size, low profile and very usable gear attachments on outside. Small wishes: the water bottle holders aren ’ t big enough to fit a Nalgene, and loops to tuck the extra hip belt into.
5
Kira
Great hiking back- pack! Decently waterproof, good size for a day hike allows you to bring lunch, big water bottle, jacket and an additional layer and has plenty of space left. Everything is adjustable and it creates a great fit that makes carrying heavy items( like rocks, I 'm a geologist) very easy. Only disadvantage is that it has only one additional pocket on top( apart from the mesh front pocket) so all small things like keys, bandaids, lib balm, sunglasses have to go all together.

I purchased this backpack three months ago and let me just say it is the best purchase I have ever made regarding backpacks! It is very practical for both outdoor usage and every day office usage. I travel quite a bit for work and I love going outdoors so I ’ m able to test this backpack in all settings. It ’s light but durable and it has the perfect amount of storage space and pockets. Not only that it ’s completely unique, how many people know about this brand and so I get a lot of compliments. Because I ’ m not wearing that every day known brand. All in all, I highly recommend this bag. It is extremely durable and it is a unique article to have.

[ I have purchased 2 of these packs, one for me and one for my son. We go camping monthly with our local BSA troop and use them to carry all our gear for each campout. They will also be used for various other camping trips as they are quite adaptable for various needs and capacities. Plenty of storage, plenty of thought was put into the design and the quality is amazing. Their warranty is pretty amazing as well.

I 've had this pack for 4+ years now. I take it on a couple backpacking trips a year on average and some day hikes where I 'm carrying more than normal. It's always fit everything I need. I 've carried a large tandem packraft and paddles with it( alpacka forager). I 've hiked 30 miles of the Kesugi Ridge Trail with it. The most notable use I think was for a caribou hunt I did a couple years ago on the Denali Highway. I packed out a cow caribou including all meat and 4 quarters bone in and the hide with my other knives and day pack type gear 5 miles down a mountain side and back to the parking lot via the trail. Roughly 100lbs. No buckles broke or came undone under tension, no rips, straps worked well to keep the load secure and close to my body. It only creaked and groaned a bit under that load, but otherwise performed well especially for not being a hunting pack. I would buy again!

I was reading the reviews and was saddened to see a not so good one... I love my Tempest! I want a new one, only because it is so- so dirty from travel and use. It is my daily driver, I keep it in the car for dogs, hikes, exploring, I take it skiing for snacks, layers, water and goodies, I take it overseas China Great Wall, South Korea Hiking, Europe day trips and for quick outings, hiking, exploring the foreign towns and cities. I am buying a new slick silver one for skiing and day hikes. I 'll keep the old one for the doggies and the car. I love my Tempest!

I recently went on a camping trip to Big Pine, CA. I hiked up to First and Second Lake which was about an 11. 3 mile hike and roughly 6. 5 hours. The Tempest 9 was perfect! I was able to fit a 3L hydration pack, my snacks, a small first aid kit and other items for the hike. I was a little worried the Tempest 9 was going to be too small, but it did the job. When it came time to selecting a size, I measured at 17 '' '' so I could have gone with either the XS/S or the M/L, I went with the XS/S, however, wished I would have went with the M/L. The hipbelt ended up coming up to my bellybutton. Overall, I am really happy with this backpack!

[ This is my fourth Osprey backpack. I needed a daypack to hike Pike's Peak. This fit the bill, plenty of room for water. Change of clothes and snacks with room to spare. I will say that you do have to put the bladder( not included) into the pack before you pack in the rest of your items. A little annoying but also no big deal. Fit great and comfortable which is the most important part.

[ Love love love this pack. I ’ m not that experienced a hiker however I do know comfort. This pack is well- made. The frame allows it to move as you move without having deadweight on your shoulders. I got this pack the 24 L a little larger than my 22 for my Grand Canyon rim to rim hike, it doesn ’ t come up until October but with my practice hikes I find this to be very comfortable this pack. Also, the hip pockets are larger than most so you can put snacks and other important items that you need there. I hiked across Spain for 500 miles over 35 days carrying this pack. I had NO issues and it was so comfortable. I carried about 13- 15 lbs with a water bladder. Only wish the water bladder nozzle had a cover as every time I set the pack down my nozzle touched the ground- good for my immune system! I just feel so grateful for my pack. One of your sales people on the phone recommended it after I tried several other models and sizes. Could n't be happier. One of the zippers broke before my trip but it was n't key. I will call regarding this. Otherwise- highly recommend this pack. So light, so comfy, so kind to my body after a long haul. Thank you.

I also used the helmet clips to hold my helmet when not in use. The only thing I think it was missing was a cover for the whole thing just in case it started to rain while you ’ re on a ride. [ Although this is sold as a small backpack, it is mighty perfect for a day hike. Love the top zipped compartment, great for stowing those most important items that you need without searching. Along with the perfect zipped area on the waist belt- fits my iPhone 15 perfectly. This pack just keeps on giving you options to place items that you need quickly without stopping to take everything out to find what u need! Oh and the outside side pockets on both sides are ideal for water bottles. And if you really need water, you can buy the bladder accessory as this pack is bladder ready! Must mention it had an easy clip for a biking helmet, and my trekking poles easily attach to the straps. This pack makes my hikes even more enjoyable!

This is a great pack, very light and versatile. Comes with a nice rain cover that packs easily into the front pocket. The gray color is very cool and keeps the contents of the pack cool on hot sunny trails. I really liked the main front zipper to access what I needed quickly from the pack.

This is such a cool camping/hiking backpack, it has more pockets than I 'd know what to do with. There is a little pocket at the bottom that holds a waterproof cover. It can be easily folded back up to fit inside. There are sturdy metal rods, with a heavy duty mesh piece on the back. It will definitely hold up when hiking. I like that the main compartment can unzip to fit a sleeping bag or other bulky items. I have n't used it yet for hiking but it will be great for our next camping trip!

This bag is a great size and style. It seems to be good quality. Has multiple storage places. The padding on the belt makes it comfortable to wear. Will for sure fit all your hiking/exploring necessities.

The bag is adequately sized for all hikes and most short camping trips. Despite its relatively small size, it boasts a number of impressive features. Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. Because of the frame's assistance with weight distribution, everything felt lighter on my back. This bag also has many different pockets and straps for varied packing strategies. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. Underneath those straps is a small pocket that holds an included rain cover to keep your bag totally dry during heavy rain. There is also a pocket on top of the bag for any small items you may need to access on the go, without opening or unpacking the rest of the bag. Finally, there is a pocket for a hydration bladder, so you can stay hydrated as you move. Some other useful features are the emergency whistle on the chest strap, the included strap management bungees( so those leftover strap ends after adjustment are n't hanging everywhere), and the water bottle pockets on the sides. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5. Met or exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody who is a frequent camper or hiker.

[ I bought another version of this backpack for myself earlier this summer and I loved it so much my girlfriend ended up getting this one. Great size for a smaller camping trip. Fits comfy and the pockets are located in great spots. Does n't feel cheap and has yet to cause any issues for me. Would recommend getting a front pouch for snacks to go along with this just cause reaching into the bag while walking is not that easy. Not too difficult to grab water bottles from side pockets which is better than most larger bags.

Excellent pack. It's light enough that if I am hiking and it just using it for water and snacks it's perfect. But I can also pack it full of clothes and whatever I need for a trip. The main compartment is quite large, but it also has many extra pockets and zippers which are perfect for organizing.

6/22: had the Sirrus 24 for years. liked it. Compression- fratured lumbar region early spring. Feared hiking days over. stubborn but realistic: Had to carry pack light and high. Wore same clothes daily, hat, pricey poles. Tied jacket around waist, saved pack space for tent, food, water, rain gear, navigation, first aid, sleeping bag n cooking gear. There was other stuff inside bag, but I forget. Was able to carry light even with food. This pack solved my weight fears: helped me keep all under weight, not stressing back. Wore a lot; usually kept inside pack. Used water bladder. Was able to muster the entire CT in 2022. Cons: not able to reach back and grasp water bottles, pockets on belt too small and plastic zippers ceased in cold. Otherwise; really liked.

[ Excellent service. Thank you so much. Your people are such a joy to work with. However the product zipper has a latent defect that has not been corrected. The zipper doesn ’ t hold up. This daypack is a well- rounded minimal travel daypack. One large compartment that is expandable. Folds down flat so it can be packed. Comes with a couple of well placed straps for compression and stability( sternum strap). The bottom is made of a more durable material. It's not too hard to pack and make this backpack stand on its own. Looks great too! Small con: bottle side pockets can be hard to use if pack is full. Maybe stretchy side pockets would work better. Would suggest Fjallraven team explore two- tone color options in the future.

I grabbed this with the intention of it being an addition to my bike set up. I was torn between this bag and the Abisko Hike Foldsack but decided upon this one because it rolls up and can easily store on my bike during transit. On my way home with groceries I can unroll it and wo n't have to worry about stuffing everything into my handle bar bag. Overall I am biased to say I love all Fjallraven items and have not purchased anything from them that has let me down.

` I am a 50 year old occasional hiker who has n't had a new pack since college. Just spent 3 days hiking in the Catskills with this pack on my back for 7- 8 hours a day and I love it. Plenty of space and super comfortable. I barely noticed I was even carrying a pack, had zero shoulder or back strain, and like the frame that allows for some airflow through the back area- a big plus hiking in 80+ degree weather. Never had to use the internal rainfly, but that was definitely a selling point for me. Highly recommend!

[ I love this pack. I bought it to replace an older osprey pack that I completely wore out. I love the rigid stays on this backpack so that it sits upright when you put it on the ground and the air pocket helps keep it much cooler, a total bonus when you 're hiking in the hot and humid Smokies.

The Hikelite 28 has changed hiking for me forever. I 've had numerous packs of various brands over the years and thought they were all `` '' fine. '' '' I', e also had 2 major spine surgeries and have permanent spinal hardware. I bought this pack after trying a friend's and can honestly say it's changed by life. Nothing rubs or dogs and my entire pack load is suspended in a way that is so much kore comfortable by entire hiking posture is improved. Additionally, the pack does n't bounce or bump on my hardware and the hip belt does n't rub on incision scars as other packs have done. THANK YOU!

[ This is the perfect travel/camping bag. I like to see this as an in between for a normal backpack and a hiking/camping bag. It ’s is so spacious you can fill all your things and still have room. [ I purchased this after having a bad experience with a different pack of a different brand. I am 5 ’ 5 ” and weigh about 116 pounds. Super functional and can ’ t recommend enough!

I love osprey products and unfortunately found that most of their products do not fit XS torsos. However. The EJA is the exception. It fits through the shoulders and leaves plenty of room for tightening the hip belt. It ’s like wearing a hug. I did 3 10+mile days with this pack( 48l) and it was just the right size for my and my dog ’s needs. The ONLY complaint I have is that the shoulder padding could use reinforcements. I found the material shredding my shirt and leaving friction burns on my collarbones after day 2. I ended up shoving my extra sun shirt under the straps to widen the coverage on my shoulders. I could probably wear thicker shirts for winter trips, but summertime screams for tank tops and breathable materials that just didn ’ t do enough for comfort on that long of a trip. I will be using this pack again, but definitely looking into mods for the shoulder strap padding
5
Loladé
[ This pack meets almost all my expectations and hopes! I love the suspension system the most. My pack feels like a hug! I appreciate the choice of removing the “ brain ” to save weight. The hip belt is comfortable. My only issue is with the shoulder straps. Over many hours on the trail, I notice that the straps do not sit completely comfortably around the front of my shoulders. That said, this is still my favorite pack out there!
4
Breezy
[ I like this pack a lot- out of the packaging I feel like it was really stiff and side pockets were almost unusable but after a week of using could easily get water bottles in and out without taking pack off. Hip belt pockets are a nice size but definitely a design flaw with the zipper and they are a pain to open and close. Overall super comfy pack and durable.

I bought an Exos 48 to downsize and reduce from my Aether 65. I ’ ve been on two 7 day treks and it ’s worked out perfectly for less than 30 lbs loads even with a bear vault. I ’ m 71 and trying to extend my backpacking days with lighter loads. This pack is versatile as well. I intend to use it for 15ish lbs load on an Alta Via 1 hut- to- hut hike on over 11 days in Italy this fall. Highly recommend.

I have the Exos from like 7 years ago, I think 2 or 3 models ago. The ones that came out after my version had a mix of materials for the side and front stretch pockets. Mine is all stretch mesh which I prefer. I also have the hip belt pockets but I think they are smaller than the pockets on this new version. I am very happy with my Exos and love the vented back panel and having the option to remove the brain/lid to make it a smaller bag when needed. I have even used it as a day bag when the brain is removed. If you are on the fence between this 48L and the 38L, look at the dimensions, this one is only an inch wider. I am sure there are improvements on this new model but I am really happy with my old version. If you are n't someone that counts every ounce possible, this is a great pack. It is in a good price range for all you get with this bag. It is lighter than most packs in it's size range, has a lot of external storage pockets, internal frame, and has the best ventilated back panel I have used.

10yo son uses this for his school bookbag. Fits his Gatorade water bottle on the side, lunch box and school folders on the inside as well as few other things in the zipper pockets. We went to Dick ’s after school because the zipper had broke on my son ’s old backpack. He liked the Jordan one of course, so I bought it for him at the store. It has a big pouch on the back for school snacks. There is two zippered compartments and tons of room for books, Laptops, etc. The backpack has lots of style and is comfortable to wear. I only wish there were more colors available in store. We ended up with the red one cuz that was the only option.
