The only reason for 4 stars is because I have had a hammock from another brand before, and I would probably go back to that brand, because it was more cocoon- like, so a bit more comfy. They are durable, easy to setup, and pack away pretty nicely for transport. I gave one to my brother and his wife for Christmas because I loved it so much. Only recommendation is to get a pair of the extra long straps so you have more flexibility in where you can hang.

I suppose i could get the big eno bug shelter but that would pack too large too. [ I have used this hammock system extensively while doing field work in remote locations of the South American rainforest. Setting up the system takes a bit of practice( you want to make sure the tarp is taunt and set up correctly so you do n't accidentally flood your hammock) but will get significantly easier over time. I have now purchased two sets for me and my sister for private use. Especially important here in FL: the net does not only keep mosquitoes away but is also( mostly) no- see- ums proof. I recommend wrapping the cord of the insect net over the `` end bits '' of the net and around the hammock strap to make sure its tight to prevent the nasties from crawling in.

The DryFly rain tarp is amazing and worked extremely well on a windy rainy night as I stayed perfectly dry.
