I 'm a college XC and Tf runner and I will say I 'm not confident in spikes. but I ran in these and I was able to give what I have in my legs while still having more to go. I just ordered my second pair of the Rubatos to replace the ones I ordered a year ago. I walk about 1- 4 miles a day and have worn these on about 66% of those walks. They provide plenty of cushioning and support. I can wear these for long periods of time without my lower back and feet hurting. Suggestions to make this the perfect shoe: a little bit better ventilation, a little more width in the toe box and maybe add 1mm to the lugs. I walk 18 to 20 miles a week for exercise. I always wear Rykas because they provide great support in a comfortable lightweight walking shoe. For vacation I wanted a pair that had the quality of an exercise shoe and the looks of a casual shoe to wear with shorts when touring, so I didn ’ t have to pack two different pairs.
