Impressive 3- 1 after wearing out my North Face 3- 1 system I have wore for years. Bought this to replace it and I am happy with what my research settled upon. Love the zip out silk liner as a stand alone lite duty jacket, a nd the shell works excellent as a rain cover. This is a great system for a beginner or an expert in the field or out on the town. Size runs true and is a little longer than expected but I did not mind the extra length to cover my hind end.

I use this as an everyday jacket for plain clothes LE work in PA. It is insanely warm for how light weight it is. Water repellency and wind resistance is excellent. Excellent balance between weight and warmth. Only downfall is the length makes it difficult to get to a sidearm when zipped up.

I bought is jacket to replace my old Gore- Tex Foray that started to delaminate after 7 years of use. Lets see how well this AscentShell Dry hold up over the years. So far this is a great 3- in- 1 jacket but I 'm really disappointed that it lacks the TorsoFlo Venting all the other Foray versions have. TorsoFlo Venting, or at least some basic armpit vents, really makes a difference when you need to vent some heat build up or want to use the shell as a rain jacket year round. I like that it comes as a 3- in- 1. This is easier to put on and take off than the Foray and Shadow combo this jacket is replacing. Being able to combine the shell and insulation layer when it gets cold is much more convenient than dealing with 2 separate jackets. I like that it is longer than the other Foray versions The longer Parka style provides better rain and snow protection than the shorter Jacket style. The over all look and color make this great to wear in any setting like work, camping, shopping, or anywhere else. I really like the Ranger Green color over the Hops Green of my Foray that this is replacing. I hope they make a version 2 with TorsoFlo Venting and a stuff sack for the insulation layer.

Bought the coat for my 10 year old nephew for the coldest days in Alberta, size L( he is 147cm). I like how warm it is, however the fit is strange. If the sleeves length is ok, then the coat is too long, more like parka not a jacket. If you go with smaller size then the length is ok but the sleeves are too short and not much room for movement( even though my nephew is slim). We tried M and L and took the bigger one. I love goose down and it is the warmest coat from my experience( I am always cold in Alberta). Please make it in bright colours or at least with light reflecting elements. Children should be visible from a long distance for a safety reason. Overall a good warm parka.

Well worth the money purchasing but luckily I got mine on sale just before the temperatures dropped and bad weather in eastern Canada. Most times I do not layer but on super cold days I do have a layer beneath and so warm. Extremely breathable. I bought a small and I had room for layering, enjoy the 6 good size pockets, length, quality/workmanship and the warranty. I ’ ve not used in rain days yet but i am sure it will work just fine.

[ This jacket is a great all around windbreaker. The fit is oversized and can fit over a lot of layers+ allows a full range of motion. The snaps and zipper are solid. Arms are about average length/what you ’ d expect. The color is a great vibrant green. As to this jacket ’s waterproof- ness I would probably suggest something billed as an actual rain jacket. I think this one could stand up to a drizzle to light rain for a set amount of time, but wouldn ’ t be what I grabbed in anything more. I gave the jacket five stars because I was looking for a windbreaker and this fits the bill.

I purchased this raincoat after much searching for a quality coat that would last. There is not one part of this raincoat that seems shoddily made, and the drawstrings for the hood and wast adjustment are so smart. There are even flip down reflective flaps on the wrists for safety when out on a rainy day. I needed a fully waterproof jacket that was lightweight and gave lots of coverage for long dog walks. This is a good one which goes to mid thigh on me( 5' 2 '') with the rounded swoop in the back that looks a bit stylish. The hood is adjustable so it stays put and the collar gives lots of coverage as do the longer sleeves which can cover my hands or adjust with velcro at the wrist and the zippers are waterproof. For the price, this is definitely a bargain. I was a little skeptical when the product came in but I ran water over it for 10 minutes and not a drop came through! It seemed to be breathable enough when my son wore it on a camping trip in 90 degree heat. The only negative is that it is a little bulky. However, I plan to buy another one for my other child.

I bought my Mesa Purple jacket in an outlet store, and I absolutely love it. I love how this jacket combo is all I really need for winter in New England and how it can be used for the majority of the year. My complaint is that your hair will snag on the buttons around the wrists, and the velcro on the inner jacket and any face makeup will rub off around the zipper area of the jacket. Not a huge deal, but just to be aware. I had my eye on this jacket set for a while and am very happy with my purchase( especially at an outlet price).
