I bought this item hoping it would help with my granddaughter ’s shin splints during track/field season. One track meet she said they helped a little bit and the next meet she said they helped a lot. I ’ m not sure how to rate them honestly. Maybe had I known there was a company that made this product and remembered my granddaughter ’s problem from last season I could have bought them ahead of the season this year and been able to know if they were beneficial or not so much. I had been experiencing some right shoulder soreness after a week of baseball fantasy camp. My body responds well to compression so I gave this sleeve a try. It feels a bit awkward at first, but once you find the sweet spot you barely notice you 're wearing it. I even wore it to sleep a few times and no issues during the night. Even though my measurement suggested I get the LG size, I decided to purchase the smaller one and the compression felt much better for me using that one.
