I 've been playing golf for over 50 years and owned more than a dozen different sets of irons( Ping, Mizuno, Hogan Titleist, TaylorMade). These TaylorMade Stealth irons are the most forgiving and longest irons I 've ever owned. I can get 150 yards out of an 8 iron again.

I bought my Stealth irons last year after demo'ing Callaway, Titleist, Mizuno and Ping. For me, the Stealth irons looked the best `` at address '' and felt solid. I was frustrated at first because I did n't feel like I gained( back) any distance until last week when I went to a golf school and realized I was not opening the face enough. Corrected that problem and now I 'm hitting them as well or better than I was striking the ball when I was in my 40's( 74 now). New clubs, a few pointers has built my confidence and I 'm feeling great about my game.

The club is easier to hit than my SIM three wood. The higher loft gets it up in the air and it goes very straight. Gives you great confidence to hit even in situations where there is trouble ahead. I definitely recommend looking at a HL three wood.

I wanted a club to replace my 2 iron for long shots from the fairway into a par 5 or for tee shots on short holes where a 3 wood was too much club. I was happy with the club as i started getting used to it, but absolutely love it now after this weekend's regular skins game with friends. 225 yard second shot into a par 5, picked it clean and solid and was thrilled to watch the ball hold the flag like a laser. One ten foot putt later, my first eagle in a long while! Love this club for this purpose.

I purchased the SIM Max 5 wood to replace my 3 hybrid. As my swing speed has decreased over the years, I no longer get the desired elevation with the hybrid. The SIM Max 5 wood launches the ball higher and farther for me. Love the Ventus Blue 5R shaft.
